We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant with strong expertise in Product Costing, Material Ledger, and Profitability Analysis (COPA). The ideal candidate should possess 4 - 10 years of SAP FICO experience and have hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) processes within SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.

The consultant will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing costing processes, profitability reporting, financial controls, and management reporting solutions. The candidate should have strong business process knowledge in finance, cost accounting, management accounting, product costing, inventory valuation, and profitability management.

The role requires close collaboration with finance teams, business stakeholders, auditors, supply chain teams, and SAP technical teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, cost transparency, and effective decision-making support.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP FI & CO Configuration :

- Configure and support SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules.

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.

- Configure General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Bank Accounting processes.

- Support period-end and year-end closing activities.

- Ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.

Product Costing :

- Configure and maintain Product Costing processes within SAP CO.

- Support standard costing, actual costing, and variance analysis activities.

- Configure costing variants, costing sheets, overhead calculations, and cost component structures.

- Perform cost estimates and analyze manufacturing costs.

- Support cost rollups and standard cost calculations for products and materials.

- Work closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure accurate cost allocation.

Material Ledger :

- Configure and support SAP Material Ledger functionality.

- Implement and maintain Actual Costing and Material Ledger processes.

- Support inventory valuation and cost determination activities.

- Analyze material price differences and cost variances.

- Ensure accurate valuation of inventory across multiple plants and currencies.

- Support month-end Material Ledger closing and reconciliation activities.

- Configure parallel valuation and transfer pricing processes where required.

Profitability Analysis (COPA) :

- Configure and support SAP Profitability Analysis (COPA).

- Design profitability reporting structures and management reporting solutions.

- Analyze revenue, cost, and profitability data across products, customers, business units, and regions.

- Support both Account-Based COPA and Costing-Based COPA processes.

- Develop profitability reports that support strategic business decisions.

- Ensure accurate allocation of revenues, costs, and margins.

Financial Reporting & Analysis :

- Develop financial and management reports.

- Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities.

- Analyze financial performance and identify opportunities for process improvements.

- Provide insights into cost structures, profitability trends, and operational efficiencies.

- Support internal and external audit requirements.

SAP S/4HANA Finance Support :

- Participate in SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation, migration, and support projects.

- Support finance transformation initiatives and process improvements.

- Configure and optimize SAP S/4HANA finance functionalities.

- Ensure integration between SAP Finance and other SAP modules.

Integration with Other SAP Modules :

- Collaborate with SAP MM, SD, PP, and WM teams.

- Support integration between :

1. SAP FI and MM

2. SAP CO and PP

3. SAP SD and COPA

4. Material Ledger and Inventory Management

- Ensure seamless data flow across business processes.

Testing & Support :

- Prepare functional specifications and configuration documentation.

- Develop test scenarios and execute SIT/UAT activities.

- Support production deployments and hypercare activities.

- Troubleshoot and resolve finance and controlling issues.

- Provide user training and knowledge transfer sessions.

Required Technical Skills :

SAP Finance & Controlling :

- SAP FI, SAP CO, General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting.

Costing & Material Ledger :

- Product Costing, Standard Costing, Actual Costing, Material Ledger, Cost Component Structure, Cost Rollup, Variance Analysis, Inventory Valuation, Cost Allocation.

Profitability Analysis :

- Account-Based COPA, Costing-Based COPA, Profitability Reporting, Margin Analysis, Revenue Analysis, Cost Analysis.

SAP Platforms :

- SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori (Preferred).

Required Qualifications :

- 4- 10 years of SAP FICO experience.

- Strong hands-on experience in Product Costing.

- Strong experience with SAP Material Ledger and Actual Costing.

- Good knowledge of Profitability Analysis (COPA).

- Experience working on SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA projects.

- Strong understanding of financial and controlling business processes.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation experience.

- Experience in manufacturing or product-based industries.

- SAP FICO Certification.

- Experience with financial planning and budgeting processes.

- Exposure to SAP Group Reporting or Central Finance.

Educational Qualification :

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.

- CA, CMA, MBA Finance, or equivalent qualifications will be an added advantage.

Communication Requirements :

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to interact effectively with finance leadership, business users, auditors, and project stakeholders.

- Ability to conduct workshops, gather requirements, and present solutions to business teams.

- Strong client-facing and consulting skills are mandatory.
