Role Overview :

We are seeking a skilled SAP EWM Functional Consultant with 4- 5 years of hands-on experience in support projects to manage day-to-day SAP EWM operations for a Europe-based client. The consultant will be responsible for stabilizing warehouse operations, resolving production issues, and supporting continuous improvements while working remotely during European time zones.

This role requires strong functional knowledge of warehouse processes, the ability to work independently, and effective communication with European business users, onsite teams, and technical consultants.

Detailed Responsibilities :

- Production Support & Issue Resolution

- Provide L2/L3 application support for SAP EWM

- Handle incidents, service requests, and change requests through ticketing tools (ServiceNow, JIRA, SolMan, etc.)

- Analyze recurring issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA)

- Propose and implement permanent corrective actions

- Ensure SLA compliance and timely issue resolution

- SAP EWM Functional Expertise

- Support and enhance Inbound processes :

1. Inbound Delivery processing

2. GR posting

3. Putaway strategies

4. Deconsolidation and VAS

- Support Outbound processes :

1. Picking strategies

2. Packing and staging

3. Wave management

4. Goods Issue

- Manage Internal Warehouse processes :

1. Stock transfers

2. Physical Inventory

3. Replenishment

4. Scrapping and posting changes

- Strong understanding of :

1. Warehouse structure (Storage types, sections, bins)

2. HU Management

3. Warehouse Tasks & Warehouse Orders

Monitoring & Integration :

- Monitor warehouse operations using /SCWM/MON

- Support EWMECC / EWMS/4HANA integration

- Analyze and resolve issues related to :

1. IDocs

2. Queues (qRFC)

3. CIF integration

- Coordinate with MM, SD, PP, and ABAP teams for cross-module issues

Configuration & Enhancements :

- Perform minor configuration changes based on business needs

- Support small enhancements, user exits, and BAdIs (functional coordination)

- Assist in testing, UAT support, and transport management

- Support master data setup and validation

User Interaction & Documentation :

- Act as the primary point of contact for EWM-related queries

- Conduct user training sessions and knowledge transfer

Prepare and update :

- Functional specifications

- SOPs

- Support handover documents

- Participate in daily/weekly status calls with European stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience :

Mandatory Skills :

- 4- 5 years of SAP EWM functional experience

- Minimum 2+ years in production support projects

- Strong knowledge of :

1. Inbound, Outbound, and Internal EWM processes

2. RF Framework

3. EWM Monitoring tools

- Experience working in European time zones

- Strong communication skills (verbal & written)

- Technical & Functional Knowledge

- SAP EWM on S/4HANA or Decentralized EWM

- Understanding of MM, SD integration

Basic knowledge of :

- Debugging

- ABAP concepts (for coordination)

- Familiarity with ITIL support processes

Work Mode : 100% Remote (WFH)

Support Model : Ongoing Production Support

Nice to Have :

- Experience with S/4HANA Embedded EWM

- Exposure to rollouts, cutovers, or migrations

- Warehouse automation exposure (MFS, conveyors, RF devices)

- SAP EWM certification
