SAP CPI Consultant - BTP Module

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration) Consultant with deep expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) to design, develop, and manage cloud-based integrations and extensions across the SAP ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable and secure integrations between S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, and non-SAP systems, leveraging SAP Integration Suite, CAP, Fiori/UI5, and OData/REST services.

This role requires both hands-on technical expertise and strong solution design skills, with the ability to work in agile, fast-paced environments and collaborate with functional, basis, and security teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop SAP BTP-based applications and extensions using CAP (Node.js/Java), Fiori/UI5, OData/REST, and CDS.

- Develop and configure interfaces and integration flows (iFlows) in SAP Integration Suite (CPI/Cloud Integration).

- Build, deploy, and manage API proxies using SAP API Management, ensuring secure and efficient consumption.

- Integrate with both SAP (S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur) and non-SAP systems using standard adapters (OData, REST, SOAP, IDoc, SFTP).

- Implement event-driven architecture using Event Mesh, webhooks, or Kafka-like patterns.

- Configure and manage BTP Security, including XSUAA, OAuth2, JWT, and SSO/IDP integrations.

- Manage Destinations, Cloud Connector, and Connectivity Services to enable hybrid integrations.

- Implement secure communication and certificate management for interfaces.

- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and MTA build tools.

- Implement logging, alerting, and monitoring using SAP Alert Notification Service and Automation Pilot.

- Manage deployments across multiple tenants and environments (Dev, QA, Prod).

- Prepare technical specifications, unit testing, integration testing, and transport management documentation.

- Support code reviews, QA, and UAT cycles.

- Ensure performance optimization, error handling, and governance compliance for all integrations.

- Analyze integration performance and optimize for cost, latency, and resilience.

- Stay up to date with SAP BTP innovations, tools, and best practices to improve system architecture and performance.

- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the organizations SAP integration framework.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 5 to 8 years of experience in SAP Integration or Development roles, with 3+ years on SAP CPI / BTP.

Strong hands-on experience with:

- SAP Integration Suite (CPI/Cloud Integration)

- API Management, Open Connectors, and Event Mesh

- CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) Node.js or Java

- SAP Fiori/UI5, OData, CDS, and RESTful services

- Adapters: OData, SOAP, REST, IDoc, SFTP

Deep understanding of security and authentication protocols (XSUAA, OAuth2, JWT, SAML, SSO).

Experience with Cloud Foundry, Kyma, multi-tenant BTP apps, and container-based deployments.

Strong debugging, performance tuning, and error-handling skills.

Proficiency in Node.js, Java, SQL, JSON, XML, and YAML.

Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and version control tools (Git, Jenkins, GitHub).
