Role Summary :

The SAP Cloud Integration Consultant is a technical specialist responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of complex integration solutions utilizing SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).

This role requires 58 years of experience, a strong command of iFlows, scripting (specifically Groovy), and hands-on participation in multiple full-cycle SAP implementation projects.

The incumbent will ensure high-quality, performant, and reliable data exchange between cloud and on-premise systems, guaranteeing adherence to best practices in an enterprise environment.

Primary Responsibilities :

Integration Development & Implementation :

- Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using the SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration) platform (formerly SAP PI/PO), translating complex business requirements into robust, scalable iFlows.

- Serve as the integration lead or primary developer, actively participating in 2 or more full-cycle SAP implementation projects, covering design workshops, build, testing, and hypercare support phases.

- Perform custom development and data manipulation using Groovy or JavaScript scripting within iFlows to handle complex data transformations, lookups, and routing logic not covered by standard functionalities.

- Configure and utilize various adapters (e.g., SOAP, OData, REST, SFTP, SuccessFactors, IDoc) to connect heterogeneous systems and manage asynchronous and synchronous communication patterns.

Quality Assurance & Operations :

- Conduct rigorous unit testing and scenario-based testing for all developed integration flows, ensuring functional correctness and compliance with technical specifications.

- Perform advanced troubleshooting of integration issues, analyzing message monitoring logs, error handling mechanisms, and connectivity problems across the landscape.

- Optimize and fine-tune iFlow configurations to ensure efficient processing and performance optimization under high-volume enterprise loads.

- Prepare detailed technical documentation for all deployed integration flows, mapping specifications, and operational runbooks, ensuring high-quality, auditable deliverables.

Collaboration & Design :

- Collaborate effectively with functional consultants, technical developers, and architects to thoroughly understand integration requirements and define optimal integration patterns and security standards.

- Apply expertise in standard B2B/EDI message standards for integrating with external partners.

Mandatory Skills :

- SAP CPI Expertise : Extensive experience in the full lifecycle implementation and support of SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration).

- iFlow Development : Expert-level proficiency in designing, building, configuring, and troubleshooting complex iFlows.

- Scripting : Strong hands-on experience with Groovy scripting (or equivalent JavaScript) for custom functionality, validations, and data transformations within CPI.

- B2B/EDI : Practical knowledge and implementation experience with B2B/EDI message standards and protocols.

- Testing & Troubleshooting : Demonstrated ability in unit testing, message monitoring, and performance tuning of CPI flows.

- Communication : Strong problem-solving and clear communication skills for effective stakeholder management.

Good to Have (Preferred Skills) :

- Experience with legacy integration platforms such as SAP Process Orchestration (PO) or SAP Process Integration (PI).

- Familiarity with functional or technical aspects of SAP S/4HANA and its native integration mechanisms (e.g., OData services, CDS Views).

- Knowledge of the broader SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), including services like Integration Suite, Event Mesh, and Alert Management.

- Certification in SAP Cloud Integration or BTP.

- Experience with cloud security principles (OAuth, SAML) and handling sensitive data securely within iFlows.
