Description :

We are seeking an experienced SAP Customer Activity Repository (CAR) Consultant with deep functional and technical expertise in SAP Retail, SAP S/4HANA Fashion, and multichannel retail integrations.

The ideal candidate will drive end-to-end CAR implementationscovering POS data processing, Sales Audit, Unified Demand Forecast (UDF), Omnichannel processes, and Retail Pricing.

Candidates should have strong experience working on large-scale global ERP transformation programs and possess hands-on skills in configurations, functional design, HANA-based analytics, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP CAR Implementation & Support :

- Lead end-to-end implementation and enhancement of SAP CAR modules including POS DTA, OAA, OPP, UDF, and Inventory Visibility.

- Configure and optimize CAR components for real-time retail analytics, transactional data harmonization, and merchandise visibility.

- Manage data replication from ERP to CAR using SLT, BDIF, and SAP HANA-based replication mechanisms.

- Ensure seamless integration between SAP CAR, SAP S/4HANA Retail/Fashion, SAP F&R, SAP BW/4HANA, and SAP Cloud Platform services.

POS Data Integration & Sales Audit :

- Design and implement robust POS inbound and outbound data flows, including transformation logic, validation, and reconciliation.

- Configure Sales Audit processes (CAR POSDTA) for data cleansing, sequencing, error correction, and settlement.

- Collaborate with POS vendors and integration teams to ensure high-quality, real-time data synchronization.

Retail & Fashion Functional Expertise :

- Work across Retail Merchandising, Assortment Planning, Markdown Optimization, Pricing, Promotions, and Multichannel Sales flows.

- Implement AFS and Fashion-specific functionalities such as size grids, valuation areas, seasonality, and fashion procurement cycles.

- Drive omnichannel business scenarios including BOPIS, ship-from-store, returns management, and real-time stock visibility.

Functional Design & Business Process Mapping :

- Analyze client business processes and map them to SAP Retail and CAR capabilities.

- Develop functional specification documents (FS), configuration rationale, test scripts, end-user manuals, and integration test cases.

- Collaborate with technical teams to define data models on HANA, CDS views, OData services, and CAR extensions.

Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting :

- Investigate and resolve issues related to CAR POS processing, queuing mechanisms, SLT replication, data inconsistencies, and pricing failures.

- Conduct root cause analysis for system failures, performance degradation, and data mismatch across channels.

- Optimize CAR HANA models, POS DTA performance, and high-volume retail transaction processing.

Stakeholder Management & Delivery Ownership :

- Work closely with business users, solution architects, global IT teams, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth project execution.

- Lead workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution walkthroughs.

- Provide consulting guidance on best practices for omnichannel retail, SAP CAR roadmap, and enterprise data strategy.

Mandatory Skills & Technical Expertise :

- Strong hands-on experience in SAP Customer Activity Repository (SAP CAR)

- Deep exposure to SAP S/4HANA Fashion, SAP Retail, or Apparel & Footwear Solution (AFS)

- Expertise in POS Data Integration, POSDTA, and Sales Audit

- Knowledge of Multichannel Retail, store operations, and omnichannel consumer journeys

- Strong understanding of Retail Pricing, Markdown Management, and promotion architectures

- Proficiency in SAP HANA, HANA modeling, SLT replication, and HANA SQL

- Experience with SAP Cloud Platform for APIs, integration, extensions, and microservices

- Strong background in Functional Design, Configuration, and Business Process Mapping

- Expertise in Retail Merchandising, inventory visibility, replenishment basics, and store systems

- Experience delivering Global ERP Transformation Projects

- Strong Stakeholder Management, communication, and documentation skills

- Advanced-level Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution across CAR and Retail landscapes
