SAP Callidus Techno-Functional Consultant
Key Responsibilities :
- Understand business requirements around sales compensation, incentive plans, quotas, commission rules, and related processes.
- Translate business rules into technical design, configuration, and development in SAP Commissions / Callidus.
- Develop and maintain Stage Hooks, validation logic, data transformations, and performance tuning within the Callidus environment.
- Implement workflow, rules, process automation, and approval processes (using scripting languages such as Groovy or equivalent).
- Create reports, dashboards, and embedded analytics for stakeholders to monitor sales performance, compensation metrics, and plan outcomes.
- Integrate Callidus / SAP Commissions with CRM, ERP, and other data systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP ERP, middleware).
- Migrate Commission process from Legacy Tools to SAP Callidus.
- Support end-to-end implementation : unit testing, system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Provide post-go-live support, performance optimization, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
- Maintain documentation (designs, configuration, technical specs, user guides).
- Work collaboratively with business stakeholders (sales, finance, HR) to validate results, refine rules, and ensure compensation accuracy.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP Commissions / CallidusCloud (configuration, development, deployment).
- Experience in designing and developing Stage Hooks, validation rules, and data transformations.
- Strong scripting skills (Groovy or equivalent) and experience in workflow automation.
- Data modeling, SQL, performance tuning, ETL or data integration experience.
- Ability to build reports, dashboards, and analytics (embedded or BI integration).
- Experience in integrating with CRM/ERP systems (APIs, web services, middleware).
- Good understanding of sales compensation concepts : commission plans, quotas, territories, bonus rules, accelerators, etc.
- Testing skills (unit, integration, UAT) and debugging ability.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to interact with business stakeholders, gather requirements, explain technical solutions in business language.
- Adaptability to changes and evolving business rules.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have :
- Certification in SAP Commissions / Callidus / SAP Sales Cloud.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology, tools like JIRA, Confluence.
- Understanding of SAP HANA or in-memory data processing.
- Exposure to CPQ (Configure-Price-Quote), pricing models, quote-to-cash.
- Knowledge of SAP Sales Cloud or SAP CRM modules.
Experience & Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent).
- Typically 48+ years of relevant experience (varies by seniority).
- Prior experience in incentive compensation systems, SPM consulting or development roles.
