About the Job :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP BW/4HANA Data Modeling & Development Specialist to join our dynamic team.

This role is crucial for designing, developing, and maintaining our next-generation data warehousing solutions on the SAP BW/4HANA platform.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data warehousing principles, be proficient in the latest SAP data modeling techniques, and have a proven track record of delivering robust and scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Modeling and Development :

- Design, develop, and implement advanced data models in SAP BW/4HANA, utilizing features like ADSOs (Advanced DataStore Objects), Open ODS Views, Composite Providers, and HANA Views within the BW context.

- Develop, enhance, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using SAP BW/4HANA Dataflows, Data Transfer Processes (DTPs), and Process Chains.

- Work with SAP HANA Studio and the BW Modeling Tools in Eclipse for all design and development activities.

- Ensure the performance, scalability, and stability of data models and data loads.

Technical Expertise and Integration :

- Collaborate with source system teams (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, non-SAP systems) to define and implement optimal data extraction and integration strategies, including leveraging ODP (Operational Data Provisioning) and various extractors.

- Apply strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts (e.g., Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, dimensional modeling) and best practices to build effective and reusable data structures.

- Develop and optimize ABAP routines within the BW environment for complex data transformations and enhancements (e.g., start routines, end routines, expert routines).

- Integrate and harmonize data from diverse sources to create a unified view for reporting and analytics.

Quality, Testing, and Support :

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing of developed data models and ETL processes to ensure data integrity and quality.

- Efficiently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data loading, data quality, performance bottlenecks, and reporting errors.

- Document technical designs, development processes, and operational procedures thoroughly.

- Provide ongoing L2/L3 support for the SAP BW/4HANA environment.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management :

- Work closely with functional consultants, business analysts, and end-users to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Proactively recommend and implement best-practice solutions to meet evolving business intelligence needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Experience :

- 4 to 12 Years of hands-on experience in SAP Business Warehouse (BW), with significant, recent experience on the SAP BW/4HANA platform.

- Proven experience in a full lifecycle implementation of SAP BW/4HANA is highly desirable.

Must Haves :

- Proficiency in SAP BW/4HANA Data Modeling & Development using the BW Modeling Tools (Eclipse).

- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (e.g., fact tables, dimension tables, slowly changing dimensions) and best practices for data lifecycle management.

- Extensive experience with ETL processes and data integration techniques specific to SAP BW/4HANA, including various data provisioning methods.

- Familiarity with reporting tools and data visualization techniques; hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) tools like Analysis for Office, or other BI tools connecting to BW/4HANA is a plus.

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently under pressure, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Good understanding of SAP HANA concepts, including modeling with calculation views, and how they integrate with BW/4HANA.

Desirable Skills (Nice to Have) :

- Experience with SAP Native HANA modeling.

- Knowledge of SQL Script for HANA database procedures.

- Familiarity with ABAP programming for complex transformation routines.

- Exposure to cloud integration scenarios.

Education :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Relevant SAP BW or BW/4HANA certifications are a significant advantage
