SAP BASIS Migration Consultant

This position requires strong SAP Basis migration experience, technical depth in database and application layers, and hands-on skills in Cloud deployments. The candidate should have prior exposure to heterogeneous migrations, high availability/disaster recovery setups, and SAP certified migration practices. Successful candidates will work closely with the Migration Lead and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery of SAP workloads to Cloud.

Key Responsibilities :

- Execute SAP heterogeneous and homogeneous migration projects from on-premises to Cloud (AWS/Azure).

- Carry out SAP system exports/imports using SWPM, SUM/DMO, and R3load.

- Support design and implementation of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions for both SAP application and Database layers.

- Provide Basis administration and migration support for ECC, SLT, NW Gateway, Solution Manager, BI, PI, Portal, CRM, SRM, BPC, Fiori, GRC, S/4HANA & BW/4HANA, Java stack.

- Configure and manage SAP SSO, Web Dispatcher, Cloud Connectors, Fiori, and BTP integrations.

- Perform SAP upgrades, kernel upgrades, EHP/Support Pack implementations, and system performance tuning.

- Support SAP AMS activities (monitoring, incident/change management, and steady-state operations).

- Expertise in S/4 HANA and B/4 HANA Conversion from any DB and any OS.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Cloud, Security, Development, Integration) during migration planning and execution.

Qualifications and Requirements :

- 7 - 10 years of SAP Basis experience, with at least 2- 3 OS/DB heterogeneous migrations and Cloud migration projects. Bachelors in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle, HANA, DB2, MSSQL, Sybase databases.

- Experience with SAP Application HA (clustering on Linux & Windows) and database HA/DR (Oracle Data Guard, HANA System Replication, etc.) in AWS/Azure.

- Exposure to Public Cloud (AWS/Azure) infrastructure for SAP workloads.

Soft Skills :

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in high-pressure migration cutover situations.

- Ability to collaborate within teams and work under the guidance of a Migration Lead.

- Effective communication skills (oral and written) to interact with technical and functional teams.

- Proven ability to work in consulting or large enterprise environments with tight timelines.
