Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Manager to manage, support, and optimize SAP landscapes running on SAP Private Cloud Edition (PCE) / RISE with SAP.

The role requires strong hands-on expertise in SAP Basis administration, system monitoring, performance optimization, high availability, incident management, and SAP landscape operations. The successful candidate will also contribute to technical projects, stakeholder coordination, solution design, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP Landscape Management & Operations :

- Manage, monitor, and optimize SAP landscapes hosted on SAP Private Cloud Edition (PCE) / RISE with SAP.

- Ensure SAP systems remain stable, secure, highly available, and performant.

- Perform SAP Basis administration, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

- Support high-availability configurations and ensure business continuity.

- Provide L2/L3 technical support for SAP incidents, service requests, and application maintenance.

- Analyze and resolve technical issues within agreed service levels while minimizing business impact.

Project & Service Delivery :

- Execute SAP Basis projects, upgrades, migrations, implementations, and operational activities within areas of expertise.

- Coordinate project activities, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.

- Conduct project/service meetings and track action items through completion.

- Prepare technical documentation, status reports, and operational updates.

- Work closely with internal teams, SAP stakeholders, vendors, and business teams.

Solution Design & Change Management :

- Design and implement efficient, scalable, and business-aligned SAP technical solutions.

- Ensure technical solutions follow SAP best practices, organizational standards, security requirements, and compliance guidelines.

- Participate in change management, release management, and maintenance activities.

- Assess technical risks and dependencies associated with SAP landscape changes.

- Contribute to continuous improvement and standardization of SAP Basis operations.

Leadership & Collaboration :

- Act as a deputy to the SAP Basis Architect and support other SAP Technology teams when required.

- Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to SAP Basis team members.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SAP technologies, cloud platforms, and industry best practices.

- Contribute to the organization's SAP technology strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Perform additional responsibilities aligned with the role and business requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

- Strong professional experience in SAP Basis Administration and SAP Landscape Management.

- Hands-on experience with SAP Private Cloud Edition (PCE) and/or RISE with SAP.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.

- German language skills will be an advantage.

Preferred Profile :

- Experience working in a cloud-based SAP environment, particularly PCE/RISE.

- Strong understanding of SAP operational processes and managed cloud environments.

- Experience working with cross-functional SAP Technology teams.

- Strong technical communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

- Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements and standardization.
