SAP Basis Consultant - HANA Database Administration

Role : SAP Basis Consultant

Experience : 8 - 12 Years

Work Location : Bangalore (Work from Office)

- Perform HANA performance tuning, memory management, and SQL plan analysis for optimal database performance.

- Manage backup and recovery strategies, including configuration of HANA Studio, HANA Cockpit, and Backint integrations.

- Implement and maintain HANA security settings, including user and role management.

- Apply table partitioning techniques to optimize large data volume handling and improve performance for analytics and operational processing.

- Set up and maintain High Availability (HA) clustering for SAP systems using HANA System Replication, SUSE Linux clustering, or equivalent technologies.

- Lead and support SAP data archiving efforts, leveraging standard SAP tools (SARA, ILM, etc.) to manage data growth and compliance.

- Configure and manage SAP and HANA monitoring, including alerting, workload analysis, EWA reports, and real-time issue diagnostics.

- Participate in SAP S/4HANA implementations, conversions (brownfield/greenfield), and technical system upgrades using SUM, DMO, etc.

- Manage SAP systems hosted on Microsoft Azure, including VMs, networking, storage, scalability, and HA/DR configurations.

- Perform OS/DB migrations, leveraging SAP tools such as SWPM, DMO, and Migration Monitor.

- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration of SAP solutions.

- (Good to have) Support SAP Fiori configuration and UX troubleshooting, and have basic exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for application extensions and integration scenarios.
