Job Title : SAP Basis Consultant

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform continuous monitoring and administration of SAP systems to ensure high availability, stability, and optimal performance.

- Execute database backup, restoration, and space management activities to maintain system reliability.

- Schedule, monitor, and optimize background jobs based on business requirements, including troubleshooting job failures using SM37.

- Manage the transport lifecycle across Development, Quality, and Production environments, including import and export of Transport Requests (TRs).

- Monitor and optimize system performance using SAP tools such as ST03, STAD, and ST22, and implement performance tuning recommendations.

- Perform SAP kernel upgrades and apply ST-PI and ST-A/PI patches to maintain system health and compliance.

- Execute Homogeneous System Copy (System Refresh) activities approximately three times a year.

- Configure, maintain, and monitor SAP Solution Manager, including generation and analysis of EarlyWatch Alert (EWA) reports.

- Evaluate and implement SAP Notes to resolve technical issues and improve system functionality.

- Coordinate with SAP through OSS incidents for resolution of critical and complex technical issues.

- Ensure adherence to SAP Basis best practices, system security, and operational standards.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis Administration and Support.

- Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ERP, and SAP CRM environments.

- Expertise in SAP system administration, installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

- Experience in database administration, backup and recovery, and database growth management.

- Hands-on experience in transport management, client administration, and system refresh activities.

- Strong knowledge of SAP kernel upgrades, patch management, and SAP Notes implementation.

- Experience with SAP Solution Manager configuration, monitoring, and EarlyWatch Alert (EWA) reporting.

- Proficiency in SAP performance monitoring and tuning using ST03, STAD, ST22, and related SAP Basis tools.

- Experience in SAP OSS incident management and coordination with SAP Support.

- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- SAP Basis Certification will be an added advantage.
