SAP Basis Administration - HANA Module

Role & Responsibilities :

- Manage end-to-end SAP Basis operations for HANA landscapes (S/4HANA, ECC, BW) : install, configure, patch, and apply kernel updates to maintain secure, compliant environments.

- Administer SAP HANA DB : perform backups & restores, manage system replication (HSR/SDR), monitor health with HANA Cockpit/HANA Studio, and tune DB performance.

- Execute system copies, client refreshes, transport management and landscape provisioning using SAP Landscape Management (LaMa), SUM and relevant tools.

- Design and maintain HA/DR solutions implement HANA system replication, validate DR procedures, and run periodic recovery tests.

- Monitor SLAs and proactively resolve incidents : use Solution Manager, alerts, and observability tooling; coordinate with cloud, networking and application teams for root-cause fixes.

- Automate routine administration (shell/Python scripts), maintain runbooks and change-control documentation; support upgrades, migrations and cutovers with clearly defined playbooks.

Skills & Qualifications :

Must-Have :

- 10+ years experience in SAP Basis administration with hands-on SAP HANA DB management (installation, backup/restore, SR, performance tuning).

- Proven experience with S/4HANA or SAP BW on HANA landscapes, system copies, client refreshes and transport management.

- Exposure to SAP HANA System Replication, Backint integrations and enterprise backup solutions; experience with DR tests and SLA-driven support.

- Experience deploying and operating SAP on public cloud (AWS/Azure) and familiarity with cloud-native monitoring/backup patterns.
