Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Ariba Business Network Consultant for a 1-year offshore contract engagement. The consultant will be responsible for implementing, integrating, and supporting SAP Ariba Business Network, with a strong emphasis on invoice integrations with third-party invoicing portals such as EDICOM, DRC, or any country-specific e-invoicing platforms.

The role requires hands-on expertise in Ariba invoice automation, compliance integrations, and cross-border invoicing processes. Experience with even a single country-specific invoicing integration is sufficient, provided the consultant has a strong understanding of regulatory invoicing workflows and integration architecture.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP Ariba Business Network & Integration :

- Design, configure, and support SAP Ariba Business Network solutions for invoice and document exchange.

- Manage end-to-end integration between SAP Ariba and external invoicing portals such as EDICOM, DRC, or other country-specific platforms.

- Configure Ariba Network invoicing rules, invoice routing, and supplier enablement.

- Ensure seamless communication between SAP ERP (ECC / S/4HANA) and Ariba Business Network.

E-Invoicing & Compliance :

- Support country-specific e-invoicing compliance requirements, including tax authority mandates.

- Handle legal and regulatory invoice formats, validations, and acknowledgements.

- Work closely with compliance teams to ensure adherence to local tax and invoicing laws.

- Monitor changes in invoicing regulations and assess impact on Ariba integrations.

Technical Integration & Support :

- Work with cXML, IDocs, and middleware-based integrations (SAP CPI / PI / PO).

- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues related to invoice transmission, failures, and

reprocessing.

- Support invoice status tracking, error handling, and reconciliation between systems.

- Perform system testing including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support.

Operations & Production Support :

- Provide L2/L3 support for Ariba Business Network issues.

- Handle incidents, service requests, and change requests related to invoicing integrations.

- Collaborate with offshore/onshore teams for issue resolution and enhancements.

- Support go-live activities, post-go-live stabilization, and ongoing operational support.

Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination :

- Interact with business users, finance teams, tax teams, and external vendors.

- Coordinate with third-party invoicing providers for issue resolution and enhancements.

- Prepare technical and functional documentation for integrations and processes.

- Provide knowledge transfer and support handover activities as required.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 4 - 7 years of experience working with SAP Ariba, with strong focus on Ariba Business Network.

Hands-on experience integrating Ariba with third-party invoicing portals, including :

1. EDICOM

2. DRC

- Any country-specific e-invoicing platform (minimum one country integration required)

- Strong understanding of invoice lifecycle, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

- Experience integrating SAP Ariba with SAP ECC or S/4HANA.

- Working knowledge of cXML, IDocs, and integration frameworks.

- Exposure to middleware tools such as SAP CPI, PI, or PO.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to work independently in a 100% offshore, contract-based environment.

- Good communication skills for coordination with global stakeholders.

Nice to Have / Preferred Skills :

- Experience with multiple country e-invoicing integrations.

- Prior experience in global rollout or compliance-driven projects.

- Knowledge of SAP Ariba Invoice Management and Supplier Lifecycle.

- Previous experience working on contract or long-term offshore engagements.
