The SAP Application Head IT is responsible for leading the strategic planning, implementation, and management of SAP systems across the organization. This role ensures alignment of SAP solutions with business goals, oversees cross-functional collaboration, and drives innovation and operational excellence in SAP and related IT applications.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Leadership :

- Define and execute the SAP roadmap aligned with business strategy.

- Lead SAP S/4HANA enhancements, support and integration across business units

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure SAP solutions meet business needs

- Manage Vendor /Resources to ensure solutioning of Business requirements and timely delivery

- Prepare and Manage Opex/Capex of SAP IT support/implementation budget

- Manage key stakeholders relationship & align with business goals to deliver SAP solutions

- Ensure ITSM tickets resolved within predefined SLA

- Manage ITGC Audit controls & work with Internal /External Auditors.

Technical Oversight :

- Oversee SAP modules (SD, MM, FICO, PP, etc.) and ensure optimal configuration and performance

- Should be able to oversee SAP Basis administration, system monitoring, advise performance tuning, and optimize infrastructure resources

- Ensure SAP security and authorization compliance under GRC . Public

- Should be well versed with SAP BTP platforms

- Demonstrate the ability for solution innovations within SAP Applications

- Ensure Functional /Technical specifications & other technical documents are prepared & updated

- Thorough understanding of SAP middleware /Integrations management

Project & Vendor Management :

- Lead SAP-related IT projects including upgrades, migrations, and new implementations

- Manage external vendors and consultants for SAP and IT services

- Ensure timely delivery, quality, and budget adherence of SAP projects

Team & Collaboration :

- Build and mentor a high-performing SAP and IT applications team

- Foster cross-functional collaboration between IT, business units, and external partners

- Ensure impeccable communication within within Team and Key stakeholders.

Governance & Compliance :

- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices

- Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards

Qualifications & Skills :

- Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 12 - 20 years of IT experience, with 8+ years in SAP leadership roles.

- Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA implementations and enterprise-wide rollouts

- Strong knowledge of SAP modules, architecture, and integration.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and ERP ecosystems

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- SAP certifications (Basis, S/4HANA) are a plus.

- SAP BTP platform in-depth understanding is a Plus

- Knowing SAP SF, SAP ARIBA , SAP GRC is added advantage
