Job Description :

We are looking for SAP Asset Performance Management (APM) Architect based in India to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-grade asset performance solutions.

The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in SAP APM with a strong understanding of enterprise asset management (EAM) business processes, integration architecture, and cloud deployment strategies.

As a trusted advisor, you will guide customers through their digital asset transformation journey from solution blueprinting to deployment and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

Solution Architecture & Design :

- Deep knowledge of SAP APM functional modules : Strategy and Performance Management, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Risk & Criticality Assessment, and Asset Health Monitoring.

- Strong expertise in Asset Central Foundation (ACF) data model design, asset hierarchy structuring, and equipment classification.

- Experience with APM integration to SAP PM/EAM (work orders, notifications, maintenance plans) and IoT sensors/condition monitoring platforms.

- Proficiency in APM extensibility and custom development using SAP BTP, REST APIs, and event-based integration.

- Understanding of predictive maintenance models, anomaly detection, and integration with SAP Predictive Asset Insights.

Architectural & Cloud Skills :

- Hands-on experience with SAP BTP services, Cloud Connector, Integration Suite, and deployment of APM in SAP Cloud environments.

- Ability to design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance APM solutions in cloud or hybrid landscapes.

- Familiarity with Fiori UX, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and visualization of asset performance KPIs.

Consulting & Leadership Skills :

- Strong business process knowledge across maintenance planning, reliability engineering, asset strategy development, and asset lifecycle management.

- Ability to translate complex business problems into technical solutions and roadmaps.

- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams and mentoring junior consultants.

Implementation Leadership :

- Serve as the primary solution architect throughout the APM implementation lifecycle from discovery and requirements gathering to go-live and post-implementation optimization.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (EAM, S/4HANA, SAP BTP, IoT, analytics) to ensure seamless integration with SAP PM, EAM, and external systems.

- Oversee data migration strategies for asset master data, performance history, and condition monitoring data.

- Ensure system scalability, security, and performance in cloud or hybrid deployment models.

Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory :

- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, translating business needs into innovative APM solutions and roadmaps.

- Conduct design thinking workshops and solution demonstrations to validate concepts and align stakeholders.

- Provide strategic recommendations on asset lifecycle optimization, reliability improvement, and predictive maintenance adoption.

Governance & Quality Assurance :

- Establish solution governance, design standards, and best practices for APM implementations.

- Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and technical quality checks across project phases.

- Mentor project teams and contribute to internal knowledge development on APM topics.

Required Qualifications :

Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

- 10+ years of overall SAP experience with strong exposure to Enterprise Asset Management (EAM/PM).

- 4+ years hands-on experience with SAP Asset Performance Management (APM) solution architecture and implementation.

- Experience in SAP Intelligent Asset Management Suite, including APM, Asset Central Foundation (ACF), SAP Predictive Asset Insights (PAI), and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

- Proven track record in end-to-end APM solution delivery from requirements gathering to go-live in global or large-scale enterprise environments.

- Experience integrating APM with SAP S/4HANA EAM/PM, IoT platforms, and third-party asset monitoring systems.

- Exposure to predictive analytics, machine learning models, and reliability-centered maintenance is a plus.

Preferred Certifications (Nice to Have) :

- SAP Certified Application Associate SAP Asset Performance Management.

- SAP Certified Technology Specialist SAP Business Technology Platform.

- Reliability engineering certifications (e. CMRP, CRL) are a plus.
