SAP ABAP Technical Lead

Description :

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Technical Lead who possesses strong core ABAP development skills along with good exposure to functional modules. The ideal candidate will lead development activities, guide the technical team, and collaborate with functional consultants to deliver high-quality SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and implementation of SAP ABAP solutions.

- Work closely with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Develop, test, and deploy custom programs, reports, enhancements, interfaces, forms, and workflows.

- Review and optimize existing ABAP code for performance and scalability.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior ABAP developers.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during requirement gathering, solution design, and deployment.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in SAP systems.

- Ensure development standards, guidelines, and best practices are followed.

Technical Skills Required :

- Strong hands-on experience in Core ABAP (Reports, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements, ALE/IDOC, RFCs, etc.).

- Expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP and ABAP on HANA concepts.

- Experience with Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, and Adobe Forms.

- Familiarity with Fiori/UI5 integration, OData Services, and SAP Gateway is an advantage.

- Understanding of at least one functional area such as MM, SD, FI/CO, PM, or PP.

- Knowledge of debugging and performance tuning.

Functional Skills Preferred :

- Ability to understand end-to-end business processes and functional requirements.

- Work experience in collaborating with functional consultants for technical-functional integration.

- Exposure to configuration knowledge in one or more SAP functional modules is an added plus.
