As an SAP ABAP Developer in the telecom retail sector, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of custom ABAP programs and enhancements within our SAP environment.

Your primary focus will be on leveraging telecom retail industry best practices in ABAP to enhance SAP functionality, integrate SAP with external systems, and optimize business processes.

Job Duties / Accountabilities :

1. Custom Development :

- Design, develop, and implement custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements (RICEF objects) to meet business requirements.

- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand the telecom retail business process requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and SAP development guidelines.

2. SAP Enhancements and Modifications :

- Customize standard SAP functionality using ABAP enhancements such as user exits, BAdIs, and enhancement spots.

- Implement modifications to standard SAP objects (e.g., SAP forms, screens, workflows) to align with business processes.

- Conduct impact analysis and regression testing for SAP enhancements and modifications.

3. Data Migration and Integration :

- Develop data migration programs using ABAP to facilitate the transfer of data between SAP and external systems.

- Integrate SAP with third-party applications, systems, and services using ABAP interfaces, web services, and APIs.

- Troubleshoot data integration issues and ensure data accuracy and consistency.

4. Performance Optimization :

- Identify opportunities to improve the performance and efficiency of SAP systems through ABAP development.

- Analyze and optimize ABAP code, SQL queries, and database access to minimize response times and resource consumption.

- Implement caching mechanisms, indexing strategies, and other performance tuning techniques.

5. Technical Documentation and Knowledge Sharing :

- Document technical specifications, design documents, and test plans for ABAP developments.

- Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members, including functional consultants and developers.

- Conduct knowledge sharing sessions and workshops to transfer ABAP skills and best practices within the organization.

Essential Skills / Competencies :

- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Minimum of 8 years of experience as an SAP ABAP Developer in the telecom or retail sector. Strong proficiency in ABAP programming language, including ABAP Objects, ABAP Dictionary, and ABAP Workbench.

- Experience with SAP modules such as SAP SD, SAP MM, or SAP FI/CO is highly desirable.

- Knowledge of SAP development tools and methodologies, including SAP NetWeaver, SAP Fiori, and SAP HANA.

- Experience with SAP integration technologies such as IDoc, RFC, SOAP, REST, and OData.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex ABAP programs.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- SAP ABAP certification or Any other SAP Certification is Must.
