SAP ABAP Support Engineer

Description :

- Experienced SAP ABAP AMS Support Consultant to join our dynamic SAP support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing end-to-end technical support and maintenance for SAP applications within the AMS (Application Management Services) framework.

- handle incidents, perform root cause analysis, implement change requests, and ensure system stability and performance across SAP modules.

- This position demands strong problem-solving skills, in-depth ABAP knowledge, and hands-on experience in handling day-to-day production support and enhancements in a live SAP environment

- Provide AMS support for SAP systems by analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving ABAP-related issues.

- Handle incident management, service requests, and problem management within SLA timelines.

- Work on custom developments, enhancements, and modifications of existing ABAP objects as per business requirements.

- Perform debugging, performance tuning, and optimization of ABAP programs to ensure system efficiency.

- Collaborate with functional teams (MM, SD, FICO, PPQM, etc.) to provide technical solutions for business process issues.

- Develop and maintain Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (RICEF) objects.

- Manage and maintain custom programs, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and Enhancements Framework.

- Handle transport management and version control across SAP environments (DEV, QA, PROD).

- Participate in change management activities, including testing, documentation, and deployment support.

- Ensure smooth system operations, perform periodic checks, and address recurring technical issues.

- Collaborate with the Basis and Security teams for system performance, authorization, and connectivity-related issues.

- Provide root cause analysis for recurring incidents and propose long-term solutions.

- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical deliverables.

- Maintain high-quality technical documentation for all developments, changes, and fixes.

- Support system upgrades, patch applications, and version migrations as part of AMS responsibilities.

Skills :

- Strong proficiency in SAP ABAP programming (Classical & Object-Oriented)

- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA environment and AMS ticketing tools like ServiceNow, Remedy, or SolMan.

- Knowledge of OData services, CDS Views, and Fiori integration (preferred).

- Good understanding of debugging techniques and performance tuning.

- Proficient in Data Dictionary, Function Modules, IDOCs, and LSMW.

- Experience in BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancement Points, and Field Exits.

- Hands-on experience with SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and ALV Reports.

- Expertise in RICEF objects Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms.
