Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP + RF Programming Consultant with 7 - 12 years of hands-on experience in SAP technical development, specializing in SAP ABAP on HANA and RF (Radio Frequency) Programming. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in developing, enhancing, and optimizing SAP applications while supporting warehouse management and logistics processes using RF technology.

The candidate will work closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement scalable SAP solutions. This role requires strong programming skills, performance optimization expertise, and experience in SAP integrations and custom developments.

Key Responsibilities :

1. SAP ABAP Development :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain custom SAP ABAP applications across various SAP modules.

- Develop scalable and high-performance applications using ABAP on HANA principles.

- Perform code optimization and modernization for HANA-compatible environments.

- Develop custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows.

- Ensure compliance with SAP development standards and best practices.

2. RF Programming :

- Develop and enhance SAP RF (Radio Frequency) transactions for warehouse operations.

- Design user-friendly RF screens for inventory management, goods receipt, picking, put-away, packing, cycle counting, and shipping processes.

- Customize RF menus and transactions based on business requirements.

- Troubleshoot RF device integration and transaction-related issues.

- Work closely with warehouse operations teams to improve productivity through RF-enabled solutions.

3. Object-Oriented Programming :

- Develop reusable applications using Object-Oriented ABAP concepts.

- Build custom classes, interfaces, inheritance structures, and exception handling.

- Follow modular programming techniques for maintainable and scalable code.

- Participate in application architecture discussions and technical design reviews.

4. SAP Forms Development :

- Design and develop Smart Forms, SAPscript, and Adobe Forms.

- Customize invoices, delivery notes, purchase orders, labels, shipping documents, and business forms.

- Optimize form performance and output management.

5. SAP Integration Development :

- Develop and maintain IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services.

- Build interfaces between SAP and third-party applications.

- Troubleshoot interface failures and integration issues.

- Support inbound and outbound data exchange.

6. Workflow Development :

- Develop and customize SAP Workflow solutions.

- Configure approval workflows and automate business processes.

- Troubleshoot workflow execution issues and enhance existing workflows.

- Integrate workflows with custom ABAP developments.

7. Enhancements :

- Develop enhancements using User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Framework, and Implicit & Explicit Enhancements.

- Modify standard SAP functionality while maintaining upgrade compatibility.

- Implement business-specific customizations with minimal impact on standard SAP processes.

8. Performance Tuning :

- Analyze SQL performance using SAP HANA tools.

- Optimize database-intensive programs.

- Improve runtime performance through efficient Open SQL and CDS views.

- Identify bottlenecks and recommend performance improvements.

- Perform code reviews focused on HANA optimization.

9. Testing and Documentation :

- Prepare technical specifications and unit test cases.

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and production support.

- Resolve production incidents within SLA timelines.

- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues.

- Prepare Technical Design Documents (TDDs) and create Functional-to-Technical mapping documents.

- Maintain code documentation, development standards, and produce user guides and deployment documentation.

Required Skills :

- Strong expertise in SAP ABAP on HANA.

- Hands-on experience in RF Programming.

- Strong Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP) knowledge.

- Experience in Smart Forms, SAPscript, and Adobe Forms.

- Expertise in IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services.

- SAP Workflow development experience.

- Strong knowledge of User Exits, BAdIs, and Enhancement Framework.

- SQL Performance Tuning and HANA optimization.

- Debugging and troubleshooting expertise.

- Strong understanding of SAP development lifecycle and transport management.

- Good analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.

- Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementations or migration projects.

- Knowledge of SAP EWM or SAP WM modules.

- Exposure to CDS Views, AMDP, and HANA Native development.

- Experience with Fiori/OData integration and SAP Gateway services.

- Understanding of warehouse management business processes.

- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments and exposure to DevOps practices in SAP landscapes.
