About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP RAP Consultant with hands-on expertise in developing applications using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming (RAP) model within the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud environment.

The ideal candidate should be adept at RAP development (managed and unmanaged scenarios), CDS views, and cloud extension techniques.

Prior experience in SAP ECC, S/4HANA Private, and On-Premise environments will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement applications using ABAP RAP model on S/4HANA Public Cloud, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions.

- Work with Managed and Unmanaged RAP development scenarios for transactional applications.

- Build and optimize ABAP CDS Views and leverage them for analytical and transactional use cases.

- Implement extension techniques in SAP Public Cloud such as BADI, In-App Extensions, Key User Extensibility, Forms, and Custom Fields.

- Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business users to translate requirements into technical designs.

- Conduct performance tuning, debugging, and issue resolution in ABAP RAP-based applications.

- Work with core ABAP development in SAP ECC, S/4HANA Private, and On-Premise systems for integration, migration, or hybrid scenarios.

- Document technical specifications, test plans, and deployment guidelines for delivered solutions.

- Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, clean core principles, and cloud compliance standards.

Mandatory Skills & Experience :

- 2.53+ years of hands-on development experience in ABAP RAP on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.

- Strong knowledge of :

a. Managed & Unmanaged RAP scenarios

b. ABAP CDS views

- Extension techniques (BADI, In-App Extensions, Forms, Key User Extensibility, etc.)

- Familiarity with Cloud Foundry, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) integrations is desirable.

- Good understanding of clean core extensibility and public cloud development restrictions.

Good-to-Have Skills :

- 1 to 2 years of core ABAP development in SAP ECC, S/4HANA Private Cloud, or On-Premise environments.

- Experience in OData services, UI5/Fiori integration, and event-driven architecture.

- Knowledge of SAP Transport Management in Cloud environments.

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools in SAP ecosystem.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- SAP certifications in ABAP RAP, S/4HANA, or BTP will be an advantage
