Job Title : SAP ABAP Engineer - S/4HANA & Advanced ABAP

About the Role :

Key Responsibilities :

Application Development & Enhancement :

- Design, develop, test, and document high-quality SAP ABAP solutions aligned with business and functional requirements.

- Develop custom applications, enhancements, and reports using Advanced ABAP (OOABAP), ABAP on HANA, and S/4HANA-specific features.

- Optimize existing ECC code for S/4HANA compatibility and performance improvements.

System Integration & Functional Support :

- Work on functional incident fixes in the Sales & Distribution (SD) module.

- Integrate SAP with external systems via RESTful APIs and service gateways.

HANA-Specific Development :

- Utilize Core Data Services (CDS) views, AMDP, and HANA native SQL for performance-

optimized development.

Production Support & Issue Resolution :

- Debug and resolve production-critical issues with quick turnaround.

S/4HANA environments.

Project Execution & Collaboration :

- Participate in implementation, upgrade, and support projects.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, logistics, and SD teams for integrated solutions.

Technical Skills Required :

Core ABAP Development :

- Reports, Module Pool Programming, ALV Reports, SAP Scripts, Smart Forms, SAP Queries.

Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP) with design patterns.

Integration & Data Exchange :

S/4HANA & ABAP on HANA :

UI/UX in SAP :

- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript integration with SAP.

Functional Knowledge :

Tools & Platforms :

- ServiceNow, JIRA, Git, Solution Manager.

Preferred :

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA conversion/migration projects.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience : 7 - 9 years in SAP ABAP development, with minimum 35 years in ABAP on HANA/S/4HANA.

- Proven track record of delivering end-to-end SAP development in large enterprise

environments.

- Strong communication skills for client-facing and cross-team collaboration.

- Ability to work as an individual contributor and in agile project environments.

- Open to learning new technologies and taking on cross-functional tasks.
