Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with a strong focus on PP/DS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling) to join our clients dynamic team. The role involves supporting and enhancing production planning functionalities in SAP S/4HANA or SAP APO environments. This is a remote opportunity ideal for professionals with deep technical expertise in ABAP and a sound understanding of supply chain and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and enhance ABAP programs, reports, enhancements, user exits, BADIs, and interfaces tailored to PP/DS.

- Work on SAP APO or S/4HANA embedded PP/DS components.

- Customize and configure planning objects like Heuristics, Planning Procedures, and CIF Enhancements.

- Develop or enhance CIF (Core Interface) user exits and BADIs for ECC/S/4 and APO integration.

- Optimize and tune the performance of planning engines and custom logic.

- Design and implement tailored solutions for complex production scheduling needs.

- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.

- Provide support for issue resolution during unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.

- Document technical specifications, design decisions, and configuration settings.

Required Skills :

- Strong experience in ABAP Objects, Enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, and Smartforms/Adobe Forms.

- Proven expertise in the PP/DS module within either SAP S/4HANA or APO, including :

1. Product View

2. Planning Book

3. Heuristics

4. DS Planning Board

5. PPM (Production Process Model)

6. CIF Interface Customization

- Strong debugging and performance tuning skills, especially for planning-related logic.

- Good understanding of supply chain and manufacturing processes.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) :

- Experience working in S/4HANA embedded PP/DS environments.

- Knowledge of ABAP on HANA optimization techniques.

- Familiarity with SAP Fiori/UI5 for planning-related dashboards or analytics.

- Exposure to SAP IBP integration.

- Basic knowledge of SAP BTP / Cloud Integration.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- SAP Certification in PP or ABAP (Preferred).

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
