SAP ABAP Developer

Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Core ABAP and OO-ABAP in both on-premise and cloud environments.

- Develop and expose OData services for UI consumption (SAP Fiori / UI5).

- Implement applications using the SAP RAP model (Managed and Unmanaged scenarios).

- Create and optimize CDS Views with annotations, and implement AMDP logic for performance-intensive operations.

- Work on deep-level enhancements using user exits, BADIs, enhancement points, and implicit/explicit enhancements.

- Build and manage custom workflows and handle workflow enhancements for custom scenarios.

- Integrate SAP with external systems using APIs, IDocs, RFCs, and web services.

- Apply BOPF concepts where applicable, and migrate legacy logic to RAP or CAP where needed.

- Collaborate with SAP functional teams, architects, and project managers in agile/sprint-based delivery.

- Support issue resolution during integration testing, UAT, and production cutovers.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 6+ years of SAP ABAP development experience with strong OO-ABAP skills.

- Strong knowledge of SAP RAP (ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model).

- Experience with OData service creation and consumption.

- Hands-on with CDS Views, Annotations, and AMDP.

- Deep understanding of Enhancement Framework (User Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Points).

- Experience in API integrations and building robust interfaces.

- Good understanding and practical experience in SAP Workflow development.

- Familiarity with BOPF framework and transitioning to RAP.

- Exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and cloud-based deployments is a strong advantage.

- Ability to work in agile teams and mentor junior developers.

Preferred Qualifications :

- SAP certifications related to ABAP, RAP, or SAP Cloud Development.

- Exposure to Fiori Elements, UI5, or integration with SAP UI technologies.

- Understanding of CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) is a plus.

- Experience in S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.
