SAP ABAP Developer

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled SAP ABAP Developer with over 8 years of dedicated experience to join our growing team in Bangalore.

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the planning, design, development, and implementation of SAP solutions, with a particular focus on a significant migration project from SAP Business One (B1) to SAP ECC.

This role requires deep technical expertise in ABAP, strong analytical capabilities, and excellent client-facing communication skills.

Key Responsibilities :

- Migration Leadership : Plan and execute the end-to-end migration of data and functionalities from SAP Business One (B1) to SAP ECC.

- Design & Development : Design and develop robust data extraction and transformation routines, ensuring data integrity and consistency during migration.

- Custom Development : Develop custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements (RICEFW objects) within SAP ECC.

- SAP B1 SDK : Utilize SAP B1 SDK for specific development and integration needs related to the SAP B1 environment during the migration phase.

- Integration Solutions : Build and implement integration solutions using standard SAP technologies such as IDocs, BAPIs, APIs, and SAP Process Integration/Process Orchestration (PI/PO).

- Technical Documentation : Author comprehensive technical specifications, design documents, and support documentation for all developed solutions.

- Testing & Support : Actively participate in unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Provide post-go-live support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

- Client Knowledge Transfer : Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions and provide training to end-users and client teams to ensure smooth adoption and operation of new functionalities.

Mandatory Skills :

- Core ABAP : Extensive hands-on experience with IDocs, BAPIs, BDC (Batch Data Communication), and Function Modules (FM).

- SAP Support & Development : Proven track record in both SAP support and development environments.

- Implementation Experience : Prior experience in SAP implementation projects is strongly preferred.

Required Experience & Qualifications :

- Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.

- Hands-on Development : 8+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience, specifically with both SAP Business One (B1) and SAP ECC.

- Migration Exposure : Direct exposure and experience in migration projects, particularly from SAP B1 to SAP ECC.

- Data Methodologies : Strong understanding and practical experience with data extraction, transformation, and migration methodologies.

- Analytical & Communication : Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Client-Facing : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and cross-functional teams
