Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP with WebDynpro Consultant to design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and user-friendly custom applications within the SAP environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of ABAP development and WebDynpro ABAP frameworks, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to translate business needs into high-performing technical solutions.

This role involves close collaboration with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of WebDynpro applications with various SAP modules and backend systems. The candidate should demonstrate an excellent grasp of UI architecture, object-oriented ABAP, and SAP enhancement frameworks, ensuring adherence to development best practices and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement WebDynpro ABAP applications that fulfill complex business requirements.

- Enhance, optimize, and maintain existing WebDynpro applications to improve performance, scalability, and user experience.

- Collaborate with functional consultants, business users, and technical architects to understand requirements and deliver innovative SAP solutions.

- Develop and integrate WebDynpro ABAP applications with various SAP modules such as FI, MM, SD, HR, and PP.

- Utilize RFCs, BAPIs, BADIs, and Enhancement Frameworks for efficient integration with backend SAP systems.

- Apply Object-Oriented ABAP (OO-ABAP) concepts for modular, reusable, and maintainable code structures.

- Build and manage ALV reports, custom screens, and dialog programs within WebDynpro applications.

- Ensure adherence to SAP development standards, UI/UX guidelines, and performance tuning best practices.

- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and performance testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.

- Collaborate with Basis and functional teams during deployment and production support activities.

- Provide technical documentation, user training, and knowledge transfer as part of the project lifecycle.

- Support workflow integration, PBO/PAI event handling, and FPM (Floorplan Manager) configuration for WebDynpro interfaces.

- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, performance bottlenecks, and functional errors in a timely manner.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Minimum 8 years of SAP ABAP development experience, including at least 3+ years of hands-on WebDynpro ABAP experience.

- Strong expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP (OO-ABAP), BAPIs, RFCs, ALV Reports, BADIs, and User Exits.

- Experience developing custom components using WebDynpro ABAP, Floorplan Manager (FPM), and Portal Integration.

- In-depth understanding of UI architecture, MVC design patterns, PBO/PAI event handling, and context binding.

- Working knowledge of SAP enhancement techniques, SPAU/SPDD, and transport management.

- Familiarity with SAP NetWeaver, SAP Gateway, and OData services integration.

- Experience in workflow development and rule-based dynamic agent determination is an added advantage.

- Exposure to SAP UI/UX design principles, performance tuning, and debugging tools.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional, multicultural teams.

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have) :

- Experience in S/4HANA migration or ABAP on HANA optimization.

- Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 development or integration with WebDynpro.

- Familiarity with Agile methodology and DevOps practices for SAP projects.

- Understanding of FPM configuration and component reuse across multiple SAP modules.
