SAP ABAP Consultant - E2E Implementation

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with expertise in end-to-end implementation projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality ABAP solutions that align with business requirements and enhance SAP system performance. This role requires hands-on experience in greenfield/brownfield implementations, a strong understanding of SAP modules, and the ability to work closely with

functional consultants and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

- Participate in all phases of the SAP project lifecycle including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.

- Develop, test, and maintain custom ABAP programs, enhancements, forms, reports, workflows, and interfaces (RICEFW).

- Provide technical support for SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI/CO, PP, and HR by developing and optimizing ABAP code.

- Work with SAP technical objects such as BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements, IDOCs, and ALE.

- Develop and optimize SmartForms, SAPScripts, Adobe Forms, and ALV reports.

- Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into scalable

technical solutions.

- Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to SAP best practices.

- Support migration activities during implementation, including data conversion and interface development.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within project timelines.

- Prepare technical documentation, unit test scripts, and participate in integration/system

testing.

- Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to junior developers.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 5 - 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development with at least 2 full-cycle E2E implementations.

- Strong knowledge of RICEFW development.

- Proficiency in ABAP Objects and Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs).

- Experience with modern ABAP tools (Eclipse ADT, CDS Views, AMDP, HANA Studio).

- Hands-on experience in developing interfaces using IDOC, BAPI, RFC, Web Services, and OData.

- Familiarity with SAP HANA, S/4HANA programming model, and performance tuning.

- Experience in Fiori/UI5 integration with ABAP is an added advantage.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Good communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and cross-functional teams.

Good to Have :

- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA implementations and migration projects.

- Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology.

- SAP ABAP certification will be an added plus.
