Role Overview :

We are seeking a Salesforce Test Engineer with strong expertise in functional and automation testing of Salesforce applications. The role involves end-to-end test planning, execution, and automation across Salesforce modules, ensuring high-quality releases in fast-paced Agile environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Salesforce environments, automation frameworks, and defect management tools, coupled with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for Salesforce applications (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning, Custom Apps).

- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to define acceptance criteria and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

- Perform functional, regression, integration, UAT, and system testing within Salesforce environments (Sandbox, QA, Staging, Production).

- Analyze Salesforce release notes to assess the impact on existing test scripts and update automation suites accordingly.

- Set up, configure, and maintain test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Provar, or TestNG) integrated with Salesforce.

- Execute API testing for Salesforce integrations (REST/SOAP services, middleware, third-party connectors).

- Log, track, and resolve defects using JIRA or similar tools, ensuring traceability across requirements, test cases, and defects.

- Create and manage test data, test environments, and test execution schedules.

- Generate and review test execution reports, dashboards, and KPIs for continuous quality improvement.

- Support CI/CD integration of automation suites with pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI/CD).

Mandatory Skills (Must-Have) :

- Hands-on Salesforce testing experience : Functional, Regression, Integration, and System testing.

- Proficiency in test automation : scripting, maintaining, and executing automated test cases.

- Strong knowledge of Salesforce environments (Sandbox, UAT, Production) and deployment practices.

- Solid experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail, qTest).

- Expertise in framework setup & maintenance (e.g., Selenium/TestNG, Provar, or other Salesforce testing tools).

- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills during test execution.

- Ability to write and execute SOQL queries for data validation and backend testing.

Good to Have (Preferred Skills) :

- Knowledge of Salesforce-specific testing tools (Provar, Copado, Panaya).

- Experience with API & integration testing (Postman, REST Assured).

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Confluence, Rally).

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for test automation integration.

- Experience in performance and security testing for Salesforce applications.

- Salesforce certifications (Admin, Platform App Builder, or QA-related certs).
