We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce QA Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore for a 6-12 month contract. In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Salesforce applications and their integrations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of functional and automation testing expertise, coupled with a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform's capabilities and architecture. You'll work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to deliver robust and high-quality Salesforce solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Test Strategy & Planning : Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, strategies, and test cases for Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and custom applications.

- Manual & Functional Testing : Perform thorough functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate Salesforce functionalities, workflows, configurations, and customizations.

- Automation Testing : Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Provar, ApexMocks, Salesforce DX/CLI for testing).

- Defect Management : Identify, document, track, and prioritize software defects and inconsistencies using defect management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps). Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

- Requirements Analysis : Analyze business requirements, technical specifications, and user stories to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

- Data Validation : Verify data integrity and accuracy across Salesforce objects and integrated systems.

- Performance Testing : Conduct basic performance testing to ensure applications meet scalability and responsiveness requirements.

- Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Salesforce administrators, developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.

- Documentation : Maintain clear, concise, and accurate test documentation, including test cases, test results, and defect reports.

- Continuous Improvement : Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for QA processes, tools, and methodologies. Stay updated with Salesforce releases and new features.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 3-7 years of overall QA/testing experience, with a minimum of 2 years specifically focused on Salesforce projects.

- Salesforce Expertise : Proven experience in testing various aspects of the Salesforce platform, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud (formerly Community Cloud), and custom Salesforce applications.

- Testing Methodologies : Strong understanding and practical experience with both manual and automation testing methodologies for Salesforce.

- Automation Tools : Proficiency with Salesforce-specific automation tools such as Provar, or general automation frameworks like Selenium WebDriver. Experience with ApexMocks or Salesforce CLI for automated testing is a plus.

- Salesforce Knowledge : In-depth understanding of the Salesforce data model, standard and custom objects, fields, relationships, validation rules, workflows, Process Builders, Flows, and Apex customizations.

- Integration Testing : Experience testing integrations between Salesforce and external systems using APIs (REST/SOAP) and middleware.

- SDLC & Agile : Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and experience working in an iterative environment.

- SQL/SOQL : Ability to write basic SQL or SOQL queries for data validation and backend testing.

- Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

- Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Salesforce Administrator or Platform App Builder Certification.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines in a Salesforce context.

- Familiarity with performance testing tools.

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
