OVERVIEW :

The Salesforce Developer is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of scalable solutions across the companys Salesforce platform, with a strong focus on Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and Salesforce Field Service. This role delivers solutions that support end-to-end sales execution, customer service operations, and field-based service workflows, including heavily customized chemistry-related processes.

The developer serves as a core member of the Salesforce delivery team, building new capabilities, improving existing functionality, and ensuring that solutions are reliable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives. This position is heavily focused on enhancements, projects, and continuous platform improvement, translating business requirements into high-quality technical solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, APIs, and Salesforce declarative tools.

The role works closely with Salesforce administrators, business analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver new features, optimize workflows, and improve system usability and performance. The developer also supports the Salesforce side of integrated processes by building and maintaining platform logic and services that enable reliable data flow and end-to-end business operations. Salesforce acts as the system of engagement, with SAP ECC and SAP Business One serving as systems of record.

KEY PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES :

- Deliver Salesforce features and enhancements on time, meeting sprint commitments and project deadlines

- Produce high-quality, maintainable Apex and LWC code with minimal defects and stable production performance

- Build and enhance Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Field Service functionality supporting daily operations

- Improve productivity and user experience through scalable automation, flows, and declarative enhancements

- Support and troubleshoot Salesforce-side integrations to ensure accurate and reliable data flows

- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, documentation, and delivery planning while proactively communicating risks and technical considerations

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Salesforce Development & Enhancements :

- Design, develop, and deploy custom Salesforce functionality using :

1. Apex

2. Lightning Web Components (LWC)

3. Flows and declarative tools

4. Platform events and APIs

- Deliver enhancements and new features across :

1. Sales Cloud (lead-to-opportunity, quoting, account and opportunity workflows)

2. Service Cloud (case management, entitlements, service processes, customer support workflows)

3. Salesforce Field Service (work orders, service appointments, dispatching, mobile workforce)

4. Custom chemistry-related objects, workflows, and domain-specific logic

- Translate functional requirements into scalable, supportable technical solutions

- Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability.

- Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.

Project Delivery :

- Serve as a primary developer on Salesforce enhancement and project initiatives.

- Build new functionality aligned to business roadmaps and delivery timelines.

- Collaborate with Salesforce administrators, business analysts, and architects on solution design and implementation

- Estimate effort and contribute to sprint planning and delivery cycles.

- Deliver work that meets defined acceptance criteria and technical standards.

Integration Support :

- Develop and maintain Salesforce-side logic supporting integrations with external systems.

- Build and consume APIs, platform events, and middleware integrations.

- Troubleshoot and triage integration issues originating from Salesforce logic or data.

- Partner with integration and SAP teams when cross-system issues arise.

- Support testing and validation of integrated workflows.

Field Service Platform Development :

- Build and enhance Salesforce Field Service functionality including :

1. Work order logic

2. Scheduling rules

3. Mobile workflows

4. Automation and validation logic

- Support mission-critical Field Service capabilities used daily by technicians, alongside Sales and Service Cloud functionality that supports customer and revenue operations

- Improve usability and performance for field operations users.

- Support deployment of new Field Service features and enhancements.

Platform Quality & Best Practices :

- Follow established development standards, version control, and deployment processes.

- Write maintainable, well-documented code.

- Support testing, release validation, and deployment activities in collaboration with the Salesforce Administrator

- Participate in post-release stabilization and incident resolution related to Salesforce changes

- Identify opportunities to improve platform performance, scalability, and technical design

- Follow established security, access, and change control practices and support audit evidence related to Salesforce delivery

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS :

- 4 to 7 or more years of hands-on Salesforce development experience

- Strong experience with :

1. Apex

2. Lightning Web Components (LWC)

3. Salesforce APIs

4. Flows and declarative automation

- Experience developing across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud

- Experience supporting Salesforce Field Service in a production environment

- Experience supporting Salesforce CPQ in a supporting role, not as a primary focus

- Experience working in integrated enterprise environments

- Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and platform limits

- Experience working in Agile delivery teams

- Familiarity with middleware platforms such as SAP CPI or MuleSoft

- Experience supporting U.S.-based business stakeholders from a global delivery model

- Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification preferred

- Strong engineering, problem-solving, and communication skills
