Job Description :

We are seeking a Salesforce Data Migration Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Python-based data migration workflows for Salesforce environments. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in handling high-volume data migration projects using Salesforce tools and APIs.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement Salesforce-to-Salesforce data migration using Python, Salesforce Data Loader (GUI/CLI), and Bulk API 2.0.

- Extract data from source Salesforce orgs and prepare structured CSVs for target uploads.

- Perform data transformations including deduplication, field mapping, data type conversions, and referential integrity checks.

- Handle attachments, rich text fields, and large-volume data (tens of GBs) efficiently.

- Automate batch splitting and parallel uploads to optimize data load performance.

- Manage initial and incremental load cycles during migration and cutover phases.

- Execute and monitor Data Loader CLI-based jobs, ensuring performance optimization and error resolution.

- Conduct post-load validation and reconciliation between source and target environments.

- Collaborate with Salesforce Administrators, Data Architects, and QA teams for end-to-end migration success.

- Maintain robust backup, rollback, and recovery procedures for data integrity and safety.

Required Skills :

- 35 years of hands-on experience in data migration or ETL development.

- Strong proficiency in Python, including libraries such as Pandas, Simple-Salesforce, and Salesforce-Bulk.

- In-depth understanding of the Salesforce Data Model (Accounts, Contacts, Cases, Attachments, etc.).

- Practical experience with Salesforce Data Loader (GUI/CLI), Bulk API 2.0, and SOQL.

- Solid knowledge of Salesforce IDs, parent-child relationships, and data dependencies.

- Proven ability to handle large datasets efficiently using batching and splitting strategies.

- Expertise in data validation, reconciliation, and error resolution.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

- Prior experience in Salesforce-to-Salesforce migration projects is an added advantage.
