About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SFCC Backend Developer with strong expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (formerly Demandware).

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable eCommerce backend solutions, integrating SFCC with external systems, and driving best practices in code quality, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend components for SFCC B2C Commerce.

- Build custom controllers, pipelines, jobs, and ISML templates.

- Integrate SFCC with third-party systems such as payment gateways, ERP, OMS, and CRM.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, architects, QA, PMs) to deliver end-to-end solutions.

- Ensure code quality through best practices, peer reviews, and unit testing.

- Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.

- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest SFCC tools, frameworks, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 8+ years of IT experience with 6+ years in SFCC backend development.

- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, and SFCC Business Manager.

- Expertise in Demandware Script, ISML, controllers, pipelines, and jobs.

- Experience with OCAPI, SCAPI, and third-party system integrations.

- Solid understanding of SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture).

- Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Knowledge of performance optimization and caching strategies.

- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.

- Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer certification preferred.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with headless commerce and PWA integrations.

- Exposure to other Salesforce clouds (SFMC, Service Cloud).

- Prior experience in retail or eCommerce domains.
