Sails Software - Delivery Manager

Position : Technical Delivery Manager

Experience : 10+ years of overall experience, with 5+ years in a leadership capacity

Location : Vizag / Hyderabad (Work From Office)

Required Background : Proven coding/architecture background in Java, .NET, or Microsoft Technologies

Key Responsibilities & Architectural Deliverables :

1. Technical Leadership & Oversight (Added Emphasis) :

- Serve as the technical authority for delivery teams.

- Provide hands-on guidance on architecture, design patterns, and code quality, ensuring solutions align with enterprise standards.

- Maintain technical fluency in modern stacks (Java, .NET, Microsoft, Cloud) to effectively mentor engineers and resolve complex technical blockers that impact project timelines.

- Lead design reviews and validate the technical specifications against client requirements to ensure feasibility, scalability, and performance.

2. Project Delivery & Governance :

- Lead and oversee the full lifecycle of technical projects, from requirements gathering and detailed planning to deployment, production release, and post-delivery support.

- Manage, mentor, and lead cross-functional engineering teams, ensuring successful, timely, and high-quality project execution.

- Implement and enforce best practices in project governance, risk management, and client communication.

- Track project KPIs, budgets, and timelines, proactively addressing risks or delays with clear mitigation strategies.

3. Stakeholder & Client Collaboration :

- Collaborate closely with stakeholders and clients to define requirements, clarify the technical scope, manage delivery expectations, and drive alignment across business and technology groups.

- Utilize a strong understanding of modern delivery methodologies (Agile/Scrum) to optimize team flow and sprint execution, ensuring that process serves the technical delivery goal.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience : Proven track record in technical project/delivery management with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.

Technical Expertise (Mandatory) :

- Deep technical background and strong understanding of enterprise software development practices, cloud platforms, and modern delivery methodologies.

- Direct coding experience in Java, .NET, and Microsoft Technologies is highly preferred.

- Leadership Skills : Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and team leadership skills.

- Problem Solving : Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, decisive approach to risk management.
