Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Oracle GoldenGate DBA to manage and support data replication across various systems using Oracle GoldenGate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining GoldenGate environments to ensure high availability, consistency, and performance of data replication solutions across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication and synchronization.

- Design and implement data replication strategies across heterogeneous and homogeneous systems (e.g., Oracle to Oracle, Oracle to SQL Server, etc.).

- Monitor GoldenGate processes (Extract, Pump, Replicat) and troubleshoot performance or synchronization issues.

- Set up bi-directional replication, active-active, and high availability configurations.

- Perform GoldenGate patching, upgrades, and version management.

- Automate monitoring, alerting, and recovery for replication processes.

- Work closely with application developers, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to ensure replication requirements are met.

- Document GoldenGate configurations, procedures, and support runbooks.

- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance in all replication processes.

- Assist with database migrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery exercises.

- Perform performance tuning of GoldenGate and source/target databases.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with 23+ years specifically in Oracle GoldenGate.

- Hands-on experience with Oracle Database (11g, 12c, 19c) and SQL/PLSQL.

- In-depth knowledge of GoldenGate architecture and components (Extract, Pump, Replicat, Manager, Trails).

- Strong understanding of data replication concepts, latency, checkpointing, conflict detection and resolution.

- Experience with Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, and general Oracle database administration.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure) and GoldenGate cloud implementations is a plus.

- Experience with monitoring tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), GoldenGate Monitor, or third-party tools.

- Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and basic shell scripting.
