About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Oracle GoldenGate DBA to manage and support our real-time data replication and high availability environments.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle GoldenGate setup, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting across heterogeneous systems.

You will play a critical role in ensuring data integrity, availability, and performance for mission-critical enterprise applications.

Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, configure, and manage Oracle GoldenGate bi-directional and unidirectional replication for complex database environments.

- Install and configure Oracle GoldenGate instances, including Extract, Replicat, Data Pump processes, and parameter files.

- Monitor Oracle GoldenGate replication processes, ensuring data latency is within acceptable thresholds and proactively addressing any issues.

- Perform routine GoldenGate administration tasks such as adding/altering processes, managing checkpoints, and handling trail files.

- Troubleshoot and resolve GoldenGate replication issues, including abends, lag, data inconsistencies, and network problems.

- Implement and manage GoldenGate for high availability, disaster recovery (DR), and zero-downtime migrations.

- Work with various Oracle database versions (11g, 12c, 18c, 19c, 21c) in conjunction with GoldenGate.

- Collaborate with application teams, developers, and other DBAs to understand replication requirements and provide technical guidance.

- Develop and maintain scripts (shell, Python, WLST) for automating GoldenGate management, monitoring, and reporting tasks.

- Optimize GoldenGate performance by tuning parameters, network configurations, and database settings.

- Plan and execute GoldenGate upgrades, patching, and migrations to newer versions or different platforms.

- Ensure data integrity and consistency between source and target databases during replication.

- Provide technical expertise and support for GoldenGate-related projects and initiatives.

- Document GoldenGate configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5+ years of hands-on, dedicated experience as an Oracle GoldenGate DBA.

- Strong expertise in Oracle GoldenGate architecture, installation, configuration, and administration.

- Proven experience with bi-directional and unidirectional replication using GoldenGate.

- In-depth knowledge of GoldenGate processes (Extract, Data Pump, Replicat) and their parameters.

- Strong skills in troubleshooting GoldenGate issues, including lag, abends, and data discrepancies.

- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for database interaction and troubleshooting.

- Extensive experience with Oracle Database administration (DBA) for versions 12c, 18c, 19c, 21c, including RAC and Data Guard concepts.

- Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems, including shell scripting.

- Strong understanding of database replication concepts, consistency models, and transaction management.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
