Saasvaap - Oracle Database Administrator

Role Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Oracle DBA Developer to join our team.

This is a full-time remote position responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing Oracle databases, ensuring their performance, integrity, and security.

You will also work on replication processes and support cloud database initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases to ensure high availability and reliability.

- Configure and manage data replication and backup strategies, including Data Guard, GoldenGate, and RMAN.

- Optimize database performance, indexing, and query tuning for high-volume environments.

- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks, outages, and data inconsistencies.

- Ensure robust database security (roles, permissions, encryption).

- Automate routine DBA tasks using PL/SQL, Shell scripts, or other scripting languages.

- Participate in database migration, upgrade, and patching activities.

- Collaborate with development teams to support data modeling, schema design, and SQL query optimization.

- Maintain documentation related to database configurations, policies, and procedures.

- Work in cloud and hybrid environments (Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure preferred).

Technical Skills Required :

- Oracle RDBMS (11g, 12c, 19c) installation, configuration, tuning, and support

- PL/SQL development and scripting for database operations and automation

- Experience with Oracle Data Guard, GoldenGate, or other replication tools

- Backup and recovery using RMAN

- Performance tuning using AWR, ASH, SQL Trace, and EXPLAIN PLAN

- Experience in database partitioning, indexing, and materialized views

- Shell scripting (Bash/Korn) for automation tasks

- Strong understanding of Oracle RAC and ASM

- Experience with monitoring tools such as OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager)

- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS RDS, Azure Database Services)
