S/4 HANA Full Stack Developer

Reporting To

IT Application Development Manager

Role Summary

The S/4 HANA Full Stack Developer is responsible for end-to-end development, enhancement, and maintenance of SAP S/4 HANA applications.

This role involves full-stack development across backend (ABAP) and frontend (SAP UI5/Fiori), including analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation across multiple functional areas in a global environment.

The incumbent will work closely with IT solution leaders and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality technical solutions aligned with S/4 HANA best practices.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

Application Development & Modernization

- Transform traditional ABAP programs from legacy SAP systems into modern S/4 HANAcompliant architectures.

- Design, develop, and test ABAP programs in S/4 HANA using latest standards and technologies such as CDS Views, AMDP, OData, and RAP.

- Deliver full-stack application development using ABAP 7.5+, SAP UI5, and SAP Fiori.

Frontend & UX Development

- Design, develop, and maintain SAP UI5/Fiori applications in alignment with the organizations UI/UX framework.

- Collaborate with IT solution leaders to develop wireframes, UI prototypes, and user experience models.

- Perform advanced debugging and performance optimization for Fiori/UI5 applications.

Forms & Integration

- Develop and maintain Adobe Forms in S/4 HANA for both online and offline scenarios.

- Work on integrations using OData services, BRF+, HANA proxy objects, and SAP BTP.

Documentation & Testing

- Prepare detailed Technical Specification documents for all developments.

- Conduct end-to-end testing, including unit, integration, and scenario-based testing.

- Support application implementation and technical go-live activities.

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- Proven, demonstrable experience delivering SAP S/4 HANA development projects.

Required Skills & Experience :

Technical Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience as a technical developer with recent project delivery exposure.

- 35 years of Object-Oriented ABAP development experience in a complex SAP landscape.

- 23 years of hands-on S/4 HANA development experience, including:

1. OData Services

2. AMDP

3. CDS Views

4. BRF+

5. HANA Proxy Objects

6. SAP BTP

- 23 years of hands-on SAP Fiori/UI5 development experience using WebIDE, SAP BTP, and VS Code.

- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, particularly in SAP UI5/Fiori.

- Ability to translate business requirements into technical documentation and robust code.

Soft Skills :

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred / Additional Skills (Advantageous) :

- Experience with Low-Code Development platforms (e.g., OutSystems).

- Exposure to Automation and Orchestration tools (e.g., Workato).

- Familiarity with AI and Big Data platforms (e.g., Google Cloud).

- Strong presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple, business-friendly manner.

- Proven ability to troubleshoot code defects, business process issues, and operational challenges during go-live and post-implementation phases
