About the team :
The Partner Management team's mission is to guide our content partners to imagine, develop, and publish best-in-class video apps and experiences.
As the primary point of contact for platform, product, and technical topics, we partner closely with content publishers/streaming services, third-party developers, and cross-functional teams within Roku, including Partner Payouts, Advertising, Product, Engineering, and Legal.
In addition to facilitating onboarding and managing app launches across the world, we help partners build intuitive experiences that delight customers while ensuring compliance with Roku's platform and business requirements.
About The Role :
The Partner Management team is looking for a skilled support engineer to help support content partners.
As a member of the technical support team, you'll focus on supporting Roku content partners with their Roku channels (launch, integration, post launch support), triaging complex issues and providing thorough resolution.
You'll evaluate ads integrations, investigate and resolve ads and Roku Pay related production issues.
In addition, you'll develop tools, innovative features and capabilities to global Roku partners, demonstrate the Roku platform functionality to new and existing partners through live demos and sample applications and support the Partner Management team in ensuring overall success of all Roku content partners.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Investigates/triages production issues by working with app partner, partner management and Roku pay team.
- Build Dashboard, Alerting Systems and Tools for Production Support.
- Manage the testing & rollout of technical changes and API changes etc in Roku Pay.
- Perform Business Acceptance Testing for all new features by implementing features in Roku sample application (dog fooding) before they rollout to partners.
- Build localized sample applications demonstrating the use of existing and new APIs and client-side functionality.
- External partner facing SME for Ads platform features.
- Perform ads evaluation to ensure compliance to Roku cert requirements and ad guidelines.
We're Excited if You Have :
- Expertise in Roku Pay or similar payment systems, with an understanding of technical intricacies, payout structures, and partner-facing impacts.
- Production issue triage and support experience in streaming TV.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with partners, provide outstanding support and proactively address concerns.
- 3+ years of experience in production support, UAT, and sample app development using Javascript.
- Understanding of web games and chromium development.
- Familiarity with video streaming technology such as DASH and/or HLS.
- Familiarity with embedded systems and consumer electronics.
- Comfortable in a Linux environment.
- Experience with analytics, data tools such as Tableau and Looker.
- Engineering degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
