Role Overview :
The primary focus of this role is to plan, develop, and execute verification and performance validation activities for new and existing processor and platform features, ensuring high-quality, bug-free deliverables. The role requires strong expertise in workload performance engineering, Linux-based systems, and robotics platforms.
Key Responsibilities :
- Drive workload performance analysis, benchmarking, profiling, and optimization across Linux and Robotics platforms.
- Perform system-level and SoC-level debugging, bottleneck analysis, and performance tuning.
- Analyze and optimize workloads across CPU, GPU, memory, PCIe, and system architecture components.
- Work with robotics software frameworks such as ROS/ROS2 and related performance-sensitive applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams on multiple concurrent projects.
- Develop and maintain automation, validation, and benchmarking tools using C/C++, Python, Perl, or similar scripting/programming languages.
- Present technical findings, performance insights, and optimization recommendations to engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in development methodologies, validation processes, and performance analysis workflows.
Required Skills & Experience :
- 8 to 12 years of experience in workload performance engineering and system performance analysis.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the Robotics domain.
- Strong understanding of Linux-based benchmarking and performance validation.
- Solid knowledge of computer hardware architecture including CPU/APU, x86 architecture, PCIe, memory subsystems, and system-level performance characteristics.
- Experience with robotics software architecture and frameworks (ROS/ROS2).
- Strong debugging and analytical skills at both system and SoC levels.
- Familiarity with virtualization and server environments such as Linux, Windows Server, VMware, and KVM.
- Hands-on experience with containerized environments and performance workflows.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively contributing within a team environment.
Preferred Experience :
- Test planning and test development for industry-standard workloads.
- Performance profiling, workload characterization, and benchmark analysis.
- Exposure to virtualization, container ecosystems, and automation frameworks.
- Experience with performance analysis tools and system diagnostics.
Educational Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
