Job Description Automation Tester

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, document, and execute automated and manual test cases based on product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.

- Build, enhance, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, WebDriver) for UI and functional automation.

- Conduct a wide range of testing activities including Functional, Regression, Integration, and Performance Testing to ensure product quality.

- Collaborate closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to identify, analyze, and resolve defects quickly and effectively.

- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Track, manage, and report test execution and coverage using test management and defect-tracking tools.

- Maintain test environments, test data, and automation suites to ensure consistent, reliable, and repeatable test execution.

- Contribute to continuous improvement of the automation strategy, best practices, and CI/CD integration for automated testing.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 3- 4 years of hands-on experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance, predominantly in test automation.

- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, QA processes, and testing methodologies.

- Practical experience in Test Automation using tools such as Selenium (WebDriver).

- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, or similar).

- Experience with Test Management Tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and Defect Tracking Tools.

- Experience with Database Testing and ability to write SQL queries (preferred).

- Experience in API Testing using tools like Postman or automation libraries such as Rest Assured (preferred).

- ISTQB or similar QA certification is an added advantage
