Roles and Responsibilities :
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals responsible for infrastructure management, including service delivery, Cisco network support, cloud infrastructure, and endpoint management.
- Design, implement, and optimize Cisco network environments (routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies) to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Manage cloud infrastructure services, including AWS, and Azure Cloud, ensuring they align with business needs and are secure, cost-effective, and scalable.
- Ensure the performance, security, and availability of IT services such as email, file sharing, collaboration platforms, and other business-critical systems.
- Manage network security and implement policies for firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other protective measures for both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Lead the design and implementation of disaster recovery plans, data backups, and business continuity strategies for all infrastructure components.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network and cloud infrastructure performance to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure infrastructure solutions meet the evolving needs of the business.
- Ensure compliance with IT security standards and best practices across all infrastructure areas.
- Provide incident management and resolution for infrastructure issues, leading root cause analysis and preventive measures.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve IT infrastructure capabilities.
- Develop and enforce infrastructure standards, procedures, and policies, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless) and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.), including architecture, security, and service management.
- Experience with endpoint management tools (e.g , SCCM, Intune) and endpoint security practices.
- Proven experience in IT service management, including ITIL or other frameworks.
- Strong understanding of IT security concepts and technologies, including network security, data protection, and compliance.
- Expertise in network troubleshooting, performance optimization, and security policy enforcement.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning, backup systems, and high availability solutions.
Key Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with significant expertise in Cisco networking, cloud infrastructure, endpoint management, and IT service delivery preferably from GIS organization.
- Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to drive performance and mentor team members.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
