We are seeking a detail-oriented Test Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team.

This role involves designing, developing, and executing manual and automated test plans to ensure the quality of our applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Understand product requirements, user stories, and technical documents to create comprehensive test strategies.

- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.

- Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using popular automation tools and frameworks.

- Perform API testing, UI testing, and cross-browser compatibility testing.

- Identify, document, and track bugs in an issue tracking system.

- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product managers to resolve issues and improve product quality.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).

- Provide timely feedback and generate test coverage reports and metrics.

Technical Skillset :

Manual Testing :

- Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke/Sanity Testing, Exploratory Testing, Compatibility Testing

Automation Testing :

- Tools: Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, Postman

- Frameworks: Page Object Model (POM), Hybrid Frameworks

- Languages: Java, Python, or JavaScript (for writing automation scripts)

API Testing :

- Tools: Postman, Rest Assured, Swagger

- Test design and validation of request/response, headers, and status codes

Performance Testing (Optional) :

- Tools: JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling

CI/CD and DevOps :

- Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD pipelines

- Integration of test cases with build pipelines

Version Control & Tools :

- Git, Bitbucket, GitHub

- JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr (Test Case Management)

Databases :

- Basic SQL knowledge for validating backend data across MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server

Soft Skills :

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication

- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing priorities

Educational Qualifications :

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline

- ISTQB or other testing certifications are a plus
