We are looking for an experienced Python Backend Developer to build and maintain scalable backend services and AI-driven APIs for a capital-raising automation platform.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience developing RESTful APIs, managing databases, integrating AI/LLM services, and building secure backend systems capable of handling data-intensive, AI-heavy applications.

Technical Requirements :

Backend Development :

- Develop backend applications using Python with frameworks such as FastAPI or Django.

- Build scalable and maintainable RESTful APIs.

- Implement business logic and server-side functionality for investor matching, outreach, and reporting workflows.

AI / LLM Integration :

- Integrate backend services with cloud AI providers such as Anthropic Claude or OpenAI for document parsing and message generation.

- Design and refine prompts for structured data extraction and content generation tasks.

- Work with vector embeddings and similarity search to support AI-driven matching logic.

API Architecture :

- Design modular and scalable backend architecture.

- Develop APIs to support frontend applications and external integrations.

- Ensure efficient data flow between frontend and backend systems.

Database Management :

- Design and maintain databases using PostgreSQL, including the pgvector extension for vector search.

- Create efficient database schemas and optimize queries.

- Implement data validation and data integrity mechanisms.

Integration with External Services :

- Integrate backend systems with third-party services and APIs such as Apollo.io for contact enrichment.

- Implement services such as notification systems, external data integrations, and outreach-channel APIs (email, LinkedIn, SMS, WhatsApp) where required.

Authentication & Security :

- Implement secure authentication using JWT or similar authentication mechanisms.

- Protect APIs with proper authorization and validation layers.

- Apply encryption and secure communication standards.

Cloud Deployment & Infrastructure :

- Deploy backend services on cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Configure logging, monitoring, and performance tracking.

- Ensure system scalability and reliability.

Performance Optimization :

- Optimize API response time and server performance.

- Implement caching mechanisms where necessary.

- Ensure efficient handling of concurrent requests, including background/async processing for AI tasks.

Additional Considerations :

- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Prior experience integrating LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI, or similar) into production applications is a strong plus.

- Familiarity with Docker or containerized deployments is a plus.

- Experience working with Git-based development workflows.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
