About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer - Networking Domain (L2/L3) to join our team at WeRoute Systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in advanced networking technologies, Arista equipment, and hands-on troubleshooting at the packet level. This role involves supporting enterprise-level network infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and security of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Troubleshoot complex networking issues at the packet capture level.

- Work on Spine-Leaf Architectures (L2LS/L3LS) including MLAG, VXLAN, EVPN, BGP, OSPF.

- Monitor, configure, and manage Arista switches and equipment.

- Perform upgrades, patches, and vulnerability fixes on network devices.

- Deploy, optimize, and validate new Arista network solutions.

- Collaborate with Arista TAC for escalations and advanced troubleshooting.

- Automate network operations using Arista APIs / Python scripting.

- Conduct network audits, performance analysis, and implement best practices.

- Provide L2/L3 technical support and escalate issues as required.

Requirements :

- 5+ years of overall networking experience with at least 3 years in TAC/network operations.

- Strong expertise in L2/L3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, MLAG).

- Hands-on experience with Arista switches is a strong plus.

- Solid understanding of Spine-Leaf architecture and data center networking.

- Experience with network automation using APIs and scripting (Python preferred).

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication (written & verbal) and client-facing skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with business & technical teams.
