Responsibilities :

- Contribute to system test methodologies, test plans, and highly effective test automation by creating and executing automated system tests that replicate real-world scenarios.

- Create and set up test scenarios and test data as needed.

- Write code to simulate tests and build various testing tools by working alongside other engineers and championing code quality principles.

- Deliverables include code builds and documented test results.

- Participate in tool analysis, create proof-of-concept models, and make recommendations to support the tool selection process.

- Participate in reviews (walkthroughs) of technical specifications and program code with other members of the engineering team, effectively communicating design, requirements, feature sets, functionality, and system/application limitations.

- Proactively collaborate with product managers from inception through functional validation to launch, continuously identifying potential quality issues or bugs, and providing triaging and root cause analysis support to engineers.

- Provide cross-training and education to testing personnel as needed.

- Assist in the collection of test metrics, analyze trends, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

- Identify and report software defects appropriately and follow the defined defect lifecycle.

- Adhere to standard development processes and procedures.

- Collaborate with various teams to promote QA processes, practices, and standardization.

- Provide training, guidance, and feedback to testing team members.

Qualifications :

- 4 to 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong emphasis on Automation Testing, along with Manual Testing and handling customer tickets.

- Bachelor's Degree (BTech / BE / MS / MTech) in CS/IT/ECE/EE/Data Science/AI/ML or any related technical field.

- Strong experience in UI Automation and API Automation.

- Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation development.

- Hands-on with at least one automation framework like WebDriverIO, Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.

- Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or equivalent.

- Proficient in one or more programming languages, preferably Java or Python.

- Experience with Mocha, Chai, Jest, or SuperTest is preferred.

- Strong API testing experience using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SuperTest.

- Good understanding of microservices architecture and testing strategies for distributed systems.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure), preferably GCP.

- Experience with NoSQL DBs (preferably MongoDB) or SQL DBs.

- Good understanding of Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.

- Ability to write detailed Test Plans and Test Cases covering all edge conditions (+ve, -ve, boundary, corner).

- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.

- Strong sense of ownership for assigned modules/projects and ability to drive QA efforts independently.
