Reports Developer/Data Insights Analyst - ETL/SQL

Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Reports Developer / Data Insights Analyst with strong expertise in dashboard development, data validation, ETL testing, and reporting solutions using Tableau, IBM Cognos, and SQL. The ideal candidate will work closely with analytics and IT teams to develop insightful dashboards, validate enterprise data pipelines, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of business data solutions.

This role requires strong analytical thinking, hands-on SQL expertise, and experience working with structured data environments and reporting platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

Insights Solution Development :

- Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards and static reports using Tableau and IBM Cognos Analytics

- Collaborate with Senior Data Insights Specialists to design and deliver reporting solutions aligned with business requirements

- Utilize data from modeled business data sources, structured DB2 Datamarts, and operational data stores

- Perform internal analytics testing to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and consistency across all reporting solutions

- Use SQL to extract, transform, and prepare datasets for dashboards and reporting purposes

- Create meaningful visualizations and reports to support business decision-making

Data Management & ETL Testing :

- Validate new ETL developments, break-fixes, and enhancements using SQL-based testing methodologies

- Ensure data quality, completeness, volume accuracy, and transformation correctness

- Participate in enterprise data projects and support larger-scale analytics initiatives

- Log, track, and retest defects using Jira

- Collaborate closely with IT and Data Engineering teams for issue resolution and production support

- Utilize specification documentation and data lineage tools to understand upstream and downstream data flows

- Develop reusable and repeatable SQL-based testing processes and validation frameworks

Required Technical Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience in SQL

- Expertise in Tableau Dashboard Development

- Experience with IBM Cognos Analytics

- Knowledge of Cognos Transformer

- Experience in OLAP Modeling (Cognos)

- Strong understanding of Data Visualization and Report Design

- Experience in ETL Testing and Data Validation

- Familiarity with structured databases and data warehousing concepts

- Python Programming

- SAS Programming

- MS Access

- Advanced MS Excel skills

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field

- 3+ years of experience in reporting, analytics, dashboard development, or data validation

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities

- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional global teams
