Job Title : Android HMI Developer

Experience : 5 to 10 Years

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Android HMI Developer with a strong background in Android application and service development, particularly within the automotive domain.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building scalable, intuitive, and high-performance HMI (Human Machine Interface) solutions for embedded systems.

This role requires strong technical skills, familiarity with automotive-grade software architecture, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software modules.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain HMI applications and services for Android-based automotive platforms.

- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product owners, and system engineers to convert design concepts into functional HMI features.

- Work on Android OS-level components, frameworks, and middleware to support HMI functionalities.

- Analyze system requirements, derive technical specifications, and participate in UML-based design documentation.

- Optimize application performance, memory usage, and responsiveness for embedded and automotive environments.

- Work within Agile/Scrum methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

- Ensure compliance with automotive software development standards and best practices.

- Debug and resolve issues related to application performance, crashes, services, and system integration.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Android application and service development.

- Strong development skills using Java/Kotlin and experience with React Native, particularly with RxJava.

- Proficiency in Android Studio and cross-environment (X-environment) application development.

- Good understanding of UML modeling and software design principles.

- Minimum 2+ years of experience in the automotive domain, working with in-vehicle infotainment (IVI), HMI, or related systems.

- Solid experience with Android OS internals and embedded platforms.

- Background in Embedded Software Architecture is mandatory.

- Familiarity with software development environments and processes, including CI/CD practices.

- Experience with Jira for task tracking and project management.

- Knowledge of GitLab, scripting languages (Shell/Python), Service-Oriented Architecture, and Docker is an added advantage.
