QA Engineer 4G/5G Core (35 years)

About the Role :

This role focuses on testing and validating 4G/5G Core network functions. Youll analyse call flows, work with protocol traces, and debug issues across Core interfaces. Strong Linux skills, networking fundamentals and Core domain knowledge are essential.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Test and validate features across 4G and 5G Core network functions.

- Run functional, regression and stability tests for every release.

- Analyse logs, traces and pcap files to identify issues.

- Work with developers to isolate problems and verify fixes.

- Review call flows for registration, session setup, mobility and handovers.

- Automate repeatable tests using Shell/Bash scripting.

- Use Wireshark, tcpdump and traffic tools to validate behaviour on different interfaces.

- Maintain test setups and keep environments stable for continuous testing.

Required Skills and Knowledge :

Core Domain (Mandatory 4G or 5G Core)

- 4G : MME, SGW, PGW, HSS, PCRF

- 5G : AMF, SMF, UPF, UDM, AUSF, PCF, NRF

Technical Skills :

- Strong Linux command-line skills

- Shell/Bash scripting for automation

- Networking : TCP/IP, UDP, routing, switching, ARP, VLAN, NAT, DNS, DHCP, firewall basics

- Test tools : Wireshark, tcpdump, Tshark, log analyzers, traffic generators (good to have)
