Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic lead Oracle Database Administrator with a strong leadership presence and a passion for innovation. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Oracle technologies, performance tuning( application and database), and modern data ecosystems, along with a forward-looking mindset toward AI and cloud-native architectures.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, implementation, administration of Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC), RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate environments.

- Drive performance tuning initiatives across databases and applications, ensuring optimal system performance and scalability.

- Develop and maintain complex SQL, PL/SQL, and Python scripts for automation, monitoring, and data processing.

- Stay abreast of emerging trends in databases, data warehousing, and AI-driven data management.

- Provide strategic input on Big Data architecture, including both RDBMS and NoSQL technologies.

- Expert and hands on experience on cloud platforms ( AWS, GCP, OCI)

- Mentor junior DBAs and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and ethical excellence.

- Work on 24/7 Shift and handle all S1 issues by collaborating with vendor partners and internal teams. Perform RCA and make sure the patterns are identified and fixed.

- Implement new processes and standards to bring operational stability and have optimized design.

- Deliver projects under tight timelines and with limited resources.

- Holds deep internal knowledge of Oracle and ability to diagnose issues quickly.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 12+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration.

- Proven expertise in Oracle ExaCC, RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate

- Optimizing ExaCC hardware and well aware of EcaCC HW and functional components

- Strong command of performance tuning methodologies, including application-level tuning. Expert in sql plan analysis, AWR, 10046/10053 traces.

- Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, Python, and scripting (Shell, Bash, etc.).

- Exposure to Big Data ecosystems (Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL databases).

- Good knowledge of Data Governance and Data Architecture

- Familiarity with AI/ML tools, microservices architecture, and cloud storage (AWS S3 preferred).

- Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

- High ethical standards and a proactive, learning-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelor's in Computer Science and engineering.

- Certifications in Oracle, AWS, or Big Data technologies.

- Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments
