Description: Job Description Tech PMO (BFSI / Fintech)
Position Overview
We are looking for a highly organized and delivery-focused Tech PMO professional with 58 years of experience in the BFSI/Fintech domain. The candidate will be responsible for driving technology delivery governance, ensuring project discipline, managing cross-functional coordination, and supporting leadership with insights for timely and quality execution. The ideal candidate should have experience in payments, lending, banking systems, regulatory initiatives, and close collaboration with engineering, product, QA, DevOps, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Project Governance & Delivery Management
- Manage end-to-end delivery of multiple parallel BFSI/Fintech technology initiatives.
- Handle and track a minimum of 50 Change Requests (CRs) every month, ensuring impact assessment, approvals, prioritization, and timely delivery.
- Maintain structured CR logs, documentation, and ensure alignment with release cycles.
- Drive scope management, milestone tracking, dependency resolution, and production rollout readiness.
2. Agile, Scrum & Daily DSM Responsibilities
- Conduct and manage up to 5 Daily Stand-up Meetings (DSM) across multiple squads/projects.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Review, Retrospective.
- Ensure backlog hygiene, prioritization, and alignment with business & product goals.
- Track sprint KPIs such as velocity, burndown, spillover, and committed vs delivered.
- Work closely with engineering, QA, product, and DevOps to unblock dependencies.
- Ensure accurate and daily tracking of stories/tasks/epics in JIRA, and maintain documentation in Confluence.
3. PMO Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and maintain PMO dashboards including RAG status, RAID logs, CR trackers, sprint metrics, resource utilization, and milestone trackers.
- Document BRDs, FRDs, CRs, MOMs, UAT sign-offs, and release notes.
- Publish weekly status reports, risks, and progress updates to leadership.
4. Stakeholder & Cross-functional Coordination
- Act as the central coordination point between Business, Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, InfoSec, Operations, and Vendor teams.
- Ensure alignment on requirements, dependencies, UAT readiness, and deployment plans.
- Coordinate issue resolution and ensure transparent communication across stakeholders.
5. Compliance, Audit & Regulatory Support
- Ensure project delivery adherence to RBI guidelines, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and internal governance frameworks.
- Prepare audit artefacts, evidence, documentation, and support internal/external audits.
- Maintain disciplined document repositories and traceability as per compliance norms.
6. Process Improvement & Governance Excellence
- Identify gaps in delivery workflows and implement improvements in sprint governance, CR management, and release processes.
- Enhance documentation frameworks, reporting structure, and overall delivery maturity.
- Support automation and optimization of PMO dashboards and operational workflows.
7. Vendor & Resource Management :
- Track vendor deliverables, SLAs, project commitments, and dependencies.
- Assist in resource planning, onboarding, and capacity management for projects.
Tools (Mandatory) :
- JIRA Sprint planning, CR management, project tracking.
- Confluence Documentation, wikis, MOMs, process flows.
- MS Office / Google Workspace for reporting and dashboards.
Required Skills & Experience :
- 58 years of PMO/Project Management experience in BFSI/Fintech organizations.
- Strong exposure to payments, lending, banking integrations, digital onboarding, microservices-based systems.
- Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and technology delivery processes.
- Proven capability to handle multiple parallel projects and high-volume CR cycles.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
Educational Qualification :
- BE / BTech / MCA / MSc (IT) or equivalent technical degree (mandatory).
