Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to elevate our product quality and testing practices. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in building, maintaining, and evolving our test automation infrastructure from the ground up, integrating quality seamlessly into our development and deployment pipelines. You'll be a proactive advocate for quality, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust and reliable software delivery.

AI Proficiency :

- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Generative AI usage (Prompt Engineering, Chunking, Embeddings, RAG)

- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in developing AI Agents with scaled implementation for at least 1 use case

- Proficient in using AI tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code) with actual examples of efficiency boost & automation

- Good understanding of AI safety practices and error handling at scale for all AI output

Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain robust, scalable test automation frameworks from scratch for various application layers (UI, API, database, performance) using industry best practices and appropriate tools/languages.

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive automated test suites for new features and existing functionalities, ensuring broad test coverage and early defect detection.

- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to embed quality throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.

- Analyze test results, identify, document, and track bugs with clear, concise, and reproducible steps. Work collaboratively with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

- Drive automation strategy and advocate for testability in software design and implementation. Provide critical feedback during design and planning phases to ensure quality considerations are addressed proactively.

- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers on automation best practices, framework usage, and testing methodologies.

- Continuously research and evaluate new testing tools, technologies, and strategies to improve our QA processes and efficiency.

- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

- Perform manual testing when necessary to validate complex scenarios, explore edge cases, or support rapid feature development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Hands-on experience as a QA Automation Engineer or SDET, with a proven track record of building and maintaining test automation frameworks.

- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for test automation (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#).

- Extensive experience in designing, developing, and implementing test automation frameworks from scratch (e.g., using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured, JUnit, TestNG).

- Demonstrated expertise in API testing automation (e.g., Postman, Newman, Rest Assured, SuperTest).

- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating automated tests into tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.

- Experience with version control systems like Git.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

- Experience with security testing principles and tools.

- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Familiarity with database testing and SQL.

- Certifications in software testing or quality assurance.
